we've noticed on porncrash that many of our users are searching for name's of porn models/actors.

We think about to implement some functions where you could say "hello" to our users. Add your own profile and tell them where they could find you or just talk a bit about yourself.

But it will not worth it if such function's just not used. That's why I'm asking you!

Just to copy biography which users can find on 8649281 websites, is not our preferred way to go. Btw. we could to this by ourself.

Also if you're not a model/actor we would be still happy if you leave a valuable comment to this topic.

As a cam model, I just gotta say that I wouldn't use it. If the user wants to see the porn star or model or whatever, he'll look for her.
Engaging with them doesn't really help.

It's not like a chat or you have to update this profile frequently.

It's just in my mind as a win-win situation.
Models could promote them self on my site and reach daily thousands of users and we could make our users happier because they find something about you on our site.
Because you tell them who you are, where you are and where they could find you.

It's not about a message to users if cam models going online.
It's at first about to make users able to find them on my site. Here I don't think about only cam models also models which for example only produce some vids or something similar.

You could easily search for their pages on Twitter and other social media and list those URL's if you sincerely want to be of service to your users.

Or, you could investigate those links and find their respective affiliate programs if you are looking for a more direct monetization scheme.

What are your real objectives?

Ofc, like I said in the thread. We just could do some research copy links and some biography and put it on our site. But this is something users can find everywhere and will not add some value for our users.

The real objective I also already wrote.
Win-win.
We want some more personality, maybe a small self-written text from models about them selfs. Their personal touch. And not just boring bio's which we can find tons of. And this is what we not going to write. Because if we would write such those text it's still fake.

This would be a win for us because our users will find something about their favorite models.

You would win because your "personal-model-site" will be shown on porncrash and also to thousands of people per day. Users could easily find you "home" like your chat rooms or your personal homepage / twitter profile something else.

And the main question about all this is. Would it be used if we would implement such functions?

Let me see if I understand what it is you're trying to accomplish.

Basically you've got a "Pornstar wikipedia" and you're asking for pornstars to write their own wiki page. Am I right?

in really short words, I'm running a site with about 0.5million visitors per month and just want to ask, if there is even interest at all, from the side of model/actors to say hello to those users and write down a short text about them selfs.
You could see it as a wiki page or just a way to reach some people.

Why would anyone work for free for you?

It's still not really hard work to write down a short text about yourself.
And you'll get back advertising for yourself. Many users would take a look on your text and maybe pay you a visit in your video/chat/live show whatever. And this is the main question. Is there even interest at all, from the actors/model side. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Please don't understand me wrong I don't want anyone to work for me for free.
Also I'm a bit confused about the porn search engine model you're talking about. The one site has nothing to do with another concept / idea or website. I just figured out that users often search by name of actors.

Well from what I can see there are 2 problems.

1. I'll argue that there are almost no pornstars these days - These days it's just cam girls, etc
2. Traditional pornstars have a "what's in in for me" mentality so most of them are going to want to be paid.

It should not only be for pornstars! Everyone would be welcome.

For example, we have an amateur model or cam model who is really active on Twitter. She has about 10-20k followers. She could just go on my site, use the "functionality" to promote herself and create her on small model subpage.
She talks about things,

• who I am
• what I'm doing
• You can find me here
• That's my own webpage
• or here follow me on twitter

She just put in this text and will get a subpage on one of our sites. And reach much more people than her followers. Every month. Isn't it enough for "whats in for me?"?

And I'm just trying to figure out if model / newcomer / actor / pornstars or whatever would use it.
If I would find about 10-20 models / actors who interested in using it, the work to program a model section on my site will worth it.

And I'll add that the Internet doesn't make someone a pornstar either but it can earn you money.

If this was the 1990s' I would say you've got a shot with pornstars. But this isn't the 1990s' and you're never going to get Jenna Jameson, Peter North, Rod Fontana, Liza Harper, Terri Weigel, etc to sign up to your site. So your best bet is focus on something like cam girls or models looking for work.
