    Business Search Engines referrers dropped like crazy..

    In my wordpress stats, I was getting consitent 2000+ search engine referrers a day and it was increasing. Over the past month though, it has dropped like crazy. I get maybe 800 now a day max. And it is getting less and less. I haven't changed any methods, I'm still doing what I was before. So what happened?

                  Yes, there has been some algorithm updates and noticed organic traffic increase and decrease on some sites.

                      Any work around for this? I was finally starting to get decent traffic from google and boom.. all gone to basically nothing.

                          Have you looked at your incoming links to make sure a site linking in to you has not been penalized?. My traffic dropped last year and i finally figured out thats what caused it. Is your site loading slower? Run it through gtmetrix etc to make sure things are ok

                              No info from Google.

                              I read quite some forums. There hadn't been any solid info there either. Everyone guessing / experiencing different things. It seems like the algo updates lately were multi-faceted. They might have re-weighed multiple ranking factors.

                                  Google made some strong changes in the past 3-4 months.
                                  And many adult admins were hit very hard. I think no one does really know the reason, or can give you a detailed answer to this topic.

                                  The fact is, google just don't like porn :P.
                                  Keep the user in mind while you design your site or make some changes. Don't focus that much on google. Just do the standard SEO things. Google owns pretty much everything these days. If they noticed people are happy with your site, they returning back to you and produce some conversions google will notice it!

                                      That obviously can't be the problem cause it is not like there are less porn sites ranking. Just overall ranks shifted around. I got hit hard with the "Fred" Update in March. Since then it decreasing. Have tried so much and nothing seems to be working.

                                      I heard that many got hit. Has anyone recovered and an idea how? Oh, and if anyone knows some place to get quality and cheap nofollow links write me at manuellorenz1946 [at] gmail.com

                                      I think maybe it's my ratio of dofollow to nofollow links... Actually, that's the last thing I haven't tried.

                                          Can confirm I got hit hard. I lost about 300K indexed pages. As with most things with Google you just have to wait it out. It may go up and it may go down, but I guarantee you in 6 months things will be a lot different.
