RAn over a huge steel bar and bang. Bent the rim, blew the tire. Pulled over to the side and watched as 20 other cars, one after another, hit it after me. Some cars having both tires blown out on one side. It was crazy. Anyone else ever been in this position. I figure anyone on any kind of bad accident had this perspective. It is freaky.

You dont need steel bars here in new york...The roads are so bad bent rims and flats happen all the time.. I spent thousands of dollars replacing rims and tires.

The bar was huge. Like 4 feet long. And there was traffic. HWY 836 mid day miami. A rat could not make it accross that road without getting hit. There was no way for one person to stop traffic. IT took 4 state troopers. I will have pics tomorrow. You should see the rim. 2000 mitsu Eclipse GT. Twisted metal, huge fist sized hole in the tire sidewall. Something about looking at twisted steel. The sheer force that it took to do that is impressive. I only wonder if I have suspension damage. This fucking car has always given me problems in the front end. It is the last front wheel drive car I buy. I don't like 'em. I miss my 93 mustang with the 5.0 and 5 speed. The mitsu handles like it is on fucking rails though and stops very quickly. From stop acceleration is a little on the light side but it is only a 7sec to 60 car, I got what I paid for.

I know hebrew because I spend some time in Isreal on various jobs. I posted that pic of me and Ariel Sharon and it is not a photoShop hoax like some say. The real thing. I have a very different perspective of all this war shit from being over there and seeing that way of life.

I am OK, and thanks for asking. YOu guys are really a nice group of people when you are not ripping assholes of spammers. I am fine just keep picturing that scene where the cars continually hit that beam one after another. OH what does it all mean?

damn that has to suck. Kinda reminds me when I was driving down to Ft. Laurderdale when a big piece of metal fell off a truck and bounced off the road and went right thru my front bumper, tour a hole right in it.

It was a Ford Expedition(they have fairly large bumpers all plastic), it went thru the bottom part of the bumper cover, I heard it hit the floor board underneith the seat and then watched it skid across the road behind me. Luckily it wasnt as big as what you hit, it was about 1 1/2 feet long. Figure going about 50 miles an hour it just cut thru the bumper like it was melted butter.

i dont think that qualifies as wrecking your car

if the bar went through the windshield people would ask if your ok.. not 2 blown tires.

WEll I dont know what damage there is to the suspension so it could be wrecked. They got all kinds of busings and stuff under there. I am hoping that I did not tear anything up down there. I would just like to get it back and keep it long enough till I get my brothers used ford lightening.

Florida has loads of construction debris. I had a metal bar about 2 feet pop off the back of a truck way in front of me on the I95 once and figured it would stay on the ground but it bounced right onto the window. I thought oh shit its gonna go right through my windshield. But it just bounced off. I was in a Benz so I guess the glass they use is stronger than most.

yeah they usually dont cover aftermarket rims. a few weeks ago i was driving my dads truck down the freeway and the hood latch had a recall and the hood flew up and went threw the windshield. cost $3,000 in damage but i didnt have to pay it. i still wouldnt consider that "wrecking" my car.

yep, that's pretty much it. the only way to really cover your ass with a modded vehicle is to get it professionally appraised, and set an agreed value with the insurance agency
