Pink Floyd's Roger Waters begins tour in Kansas City with an all-out attack on Donald Trump

Pink Floyd?s Roger Waters is kicking off his 2017 U.S. tour this month, beginning with a powerful reminder that this is the guy who wrote The Wall.

Roger Waters is sending a very clear message to Donald Trump as part of his new Us + Them world tour. The message is "Fuck Trump".

Waters showcases the Trump circus during a show-piece section of the show with the Pink Floyd Animals album song Pigs (Three Different Ones). Various images portray Trump wearing lipstick, in a blond wig, in dominatrix leather gear and a naked Trump with a tiny penis. Waters brands the demagogue ?Charade?.

Waters also floats an enormous inflatable pig over the audience with Trump?s face emblazoned on it. Facebook?s Union Thugs pointed out that the opening show for some reason had some Kansas City attendees seemingly surprised by Waters? political assertiveness.

Throughout the concert, Waters posted various messages on the hundreds of square footage of video screens attacking Trump, the human violations in Syria, war in general, racism, as well. The ?fans? who didn?t like the anti-Trump message must have been super bummed out to see children on stage, sporting ?Resist? t-shirts during Waters? rendition of ?Another Brick in the Wall.? I mean, the guy wrote The Wall for Christ sakes. What did you think that was about?

You can watch the soundcheck and the show below, if you have a few hours. It?s a pretty impressive production but I guess some people were hoping he would just play ?See Emily Play? and ?Bike? for two hours.

This should come as no surprise to any Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fans. He is a devout socialist and even gives at least 10% of his earning to the Socialist Party.

I don't always agree with him politically, but the guy is a musical genius.

First, how do you know he's a socialist, and that he gives 10% of his money to a socialist party?

Next, so what if he does? The guy is smart, he sees what's happening, and he's spreading the word.

You're in for a treat. Saw his Wall Tour at Wrigley Field in 2012, best show I've ever been to. Hard to believe at 74 years old the guy has not lost a step.

Either way that commie is riding anti trump train for libby/msm brownie points ( = more cash).

Imagine is someone major did the same text about Hussein?
Libby double standard power!

Thats hilarious. The guy brought in over $450 million just on his last tour alone, before Trump. Doesnt need to ride any anti-rump train for more cash.

You must be confusing him with Ted Nugent, who had to recently drop his ticket prices to one of his shows to $5 and still couldn't sell it out.

The psychedelic rocker raved about the audience at his LaconiaFest performance Friday, even though ticket prices to his show dropped from $67 to $5 amid the festival's financial struggles, according to the Laconia Daily Sun.

I don't have a problem with him being a socialist. I'm a huge fan of his and love his music. Also, he has always been politically active in one way or another. If you go to a Roger Waters concert he will talk about and play music that is relevant to current things going on in the world.

Years ago when he did a solo tour he did an interview for our local newspaper. In it, they talked about politics (his current album had a lot of political subject matter) and that is where he said he is a socialist and gives money to the party. He has also said a few different times in interviews that his parents were members of the Communist party

Huh? is there a number which can not be even bigger by extra promotion?
Like 450 no need for more promotion, but 45 need for more? Or some other number?

Of course do not forget brownie points, if not cash.

His tours sold out instantly long before Trump and his current tour sold out before anyone knew he was going to speak about Trump.

Nobody bought a ticket to see Roger Waters because they hoped he would bash Trump. They bought it because of Pink Floyd.

Yeah, the wall tour was amazing. I was looking forward to this show as well until I saw the ticket prices ...300 per ticket for floor. i was willing to pay this to see the wall but not just another show. come on roger, live up to what you portray.

When I see Trump all I hear in my head is the crazy laughter from Dark Side Of The Moon.

I bet David Gilmour and Nick Mason think Waters is a pig for touring Floyd material solo.

I'm sure the feelings at least at some time were mutual for them performing it without him. A few years ago all three of them reunited for a few songs at a charity concert and it sounds like they kind of buried the hatchet. It doesn't sound like they are going to work together but I get the feeling they don't really hate each other anymore.

I am not sure I can say he hasnt lost a step. He no longer has the vocal ability to sing a lot of the high notes he used to hit and requires backup singers.
