    Indy 500 Crazy Car Crash



    Two drivers in the Indy 500 were lucky to walk away -- let alone be alive -- after a super gnarly crash that flipped one vehicle over multiple times.
    Racers Scott Dixon and Jay Howard collided into one another Sunday during the Indy 500 race in Indianapolis ... which sent Scott's car flying into the side rails and tore it to pieces.
    After getting checked out by docs onsite ... both drivers were surprisingly left unscathed.
    Scott was also in good spirits afterward in what could have been a deadly moment

              Helio Castroneves literally drove underneath Dixon's car as it was airborne. They've done an amazing job of designing those cars to protect the driver in a crash.

                      yup that part was amazing.. The whole wreck reminded me of Fast and Furious or really this movie cause it looked like a movie style wreck.

                      Anyways glad everyone was OK and was able to walk away. Wrecks like that a decade ago would've ended a lot different.

                          Dixon's temple almost hit the barrier. If that connected his helmet and head will be crushed. Pure luck!

                              I've been in one of those wrecks. At 100+ MPH my car hit in mid-air after spinning 1.5 times a telephone pole right behind the rear tire.. Had it hit 3 foot forward the pole would've hit the driver and both he and I would've not walked away from that.
