The problem here is that Trump doesn't even begin to understand why we have the strategic oil reserve.

World War II was fought, won, and lost all because of oil. Japan was expanding in the Pacific because they wanted more oil to fuel their war machine, and you can argue some of Hitler's moves were to take control of more oil to keep his war machine going. Without oil, you cannot fight a war. Oh, we have nuclear powered ships now but not all of them, not even close.
