Nostradamus or maybe it was Edgar Cayce.. one of them predicted a giant tidal wave that would consume New York I think.

This will almost certainly happen within the next thousand years. Could very well be next month. From what I've read they estimate chances of it happening within the next 100 years 5%-15%, with an estimated death toll ranging from 3M-10M.

the Nostradamus prediction about New York is about a Volcano/fire from the earth, so it could me interpreted to mean this volcano earthquake causing the tidal wave.

its from I.87 of the book i have 'Complete Prophecies Of Nostradamus'

it says...

'Ennosigee, fire of the center of earth.
Shall make an earthquake of the New City,
Two great rocks shall long time war against each other
After that, Arethusa shall color red the fresh river.'

<a href=http://www.seismo.unr.edu/ftp/pub/louie/class/100/plate-tectonics.html>Plate Tectonics: The Cause Of Earthquakes</a>

then the new river will be red with the blood of Americans, is what I get from it.

It's like impossible to translate.

When the holly sun shines in the west the small people will dance in the east

Translation.... When the nuclear bomb explodes in washington the chinese people will dance.

Just becaue ive read it, and know it, doesnt mean I take it seriously.

It was brought up, so I looked it up. brujah asked, I delivered. Why denounce it?

no info is worthless, i enjoy reading things like this.

I've seen somethingon tv about that volcano that could colapse and cause a tidal wave.
Pretty freaky.
But it'll take quite some time for the wave to get there so pretty much time to get away 20+ miles from the coast.

This reminds me of a joke ..

a man is standing on stage telling about how the Sun will eventually burn out in a billion years .. someone in the back of the crowd gasps and starts to cry .. but then regains himself .. the comedian asks what's wrong? .. the man replies .. at first I thought you said a million years...

Some hours is what it will take. Imagine rush hour with millions of desperate, scared people - chaos, death, destruction before the wave even hits.

They still cannot prove scientifically Noahs ark existed, and proof suggest there was no global flood either.

What to believe.

Will take alot longer.
It says:
"It would have a wavelength of 30 to 40 kilometres (18 to 25 miles) travelling westwards across the Atlantic at speeds up to 720 km/h (450 mph) towards America."

Not sure about the distance but should take around 9 hours.

Dude (or chick, whatever), in this case it is CERTAIN that it will happen. We just don't know when yet, and how severe it will be. Current research, however, seems to point mostly towards the worst predictions.

This is *not* some conspiracy theory or "tgp is dying" fear, this is what science tells us will happen. Taking matters of probability and severeness into account, the weight of casualties from this in the next century is 150,000 to 1,500,000 (note, this is not "possible casulaties", but the weight of casualties calculated based on chances of it happening and estimated damage). That by far surpasses, for instance, terrorism.

9 hours is some hours, if you consider that many millions of people have to be evacuated. How will you get 10+ million people out of a city in 9 hours, while they're all panicking and cluttering the roads? Answer - you don't.

nostradamus is like the bible, all full of shit.. But sometimes, just sometimes.. People find something that makes sense to them... It still doesn't change the fact that it's all crap..

I could write 50 bullshit predictions and eventually one or two would probably make sence to some one, or even come true for that matter..

Lets say this DID happen.

and drastic geographical change would occur following this tidal wave, one would expect.

dont you think the OTHEr continents would be affected as well?

plates that big moving, can produce some very disturbing changes throughout the entire planet, not just a big wave pouring in from the East.

Look at Bimini, and Thera ;)
