ALERT: Supreme Court Just Ruled GOP Election Tactics Racist & Unconstitutional

Expect a lot of GOP strongholds to flip Democrat in 2018 & 2020.

GOP racist district gerrymandering that increases the impact of white votes found unconstitutional today.

This is how the GOP won so many districts where the majority vote was Democrat but the "winner" was Repubkucan through racist redistricting via gerrymandering.

Supreme Court Throws Out GOP-Drawn Congressional Districts As Unconstitutional

?The Constitution entrusts States with the job of designing congressional districts,? wrote Justice Elena Kagan in the 5-to-3 decision. ?But it also imposes an important constraint: A State may not use race as the predominant factor in drawing district lines unless it has a compelling reason.?

In a long-awaited decision, the Supreme Court agreed on Monday with a lower court ruling that found that Republican lawmakers in North Carolina drew two congressional districts with improper racial considerations in mind.

The ruling is the latest attempt by the justices to clarify the standard for what counts as unconstitutional racial gerrymandering ? the push by lawmakers, especially in the South, to draw district lines based on the racial demographics of a specific area.

What the Supreme Court's Gerrymander Ruling Means for the Future of Voting Rights

"In its majority opinion and dissent in Monday's case, the Supreme Court hinted at where it might come down on these two big questions, which will play a big part in redistricting in 2020 and in the political power of minority voters and the Democratic and Republican parties."

"Hasen explains that this will make it much harder for Southern states, where race and party affiliation are closely correlated, to defend their gerrymanders. "Holy cow this is a big deal," he writes. "It means that race and party are not really discrete categories and that discriminating on the basis of party in places of conjoined polarization is equivalent, at least sometimes, to making race the predominant factor in redistricting."

The truth is, if they don't have gerrymandering, the unwashed masses overpower those who know what's best.

Politicians should not be involved at all; in redistricting. It's absolute conflict of interest. This shit needs to be done by computer. You feed the registered voters data into a computer and it maps a map based on county and population data.

I don't want Democrats drawing the lines to favor themselves and I don't want Republicans doing it either. The only legitimate way is to be done by third party independent committee with districts drawn out by computer programs.

100% agree.

But gerrymandering districts goes back decades, and will continue despite the Court's ruling. Politicians know how to do one thing well: manipulate the system to get what THEY want (not what "we the People" want).

Agreed on that. Without that, there is zero accountability to those elected. If gerrymandered, they do whatever they want, as they have zero fear they will get voted out.

The Clintons expanded mass incarceration of blacks. Their welfare reform was also bad.

Why Hillary Clinton Doesn?t Deserve the Black Vote

Once again Bladewire's logic is flawed. Here's the proof:

The first part here I would like to agree with however, you are the one who compared trump to hitler and suggested that anyone who voted for trump be summarily executed within the last week or so alone...

Bush did not bankrupt anything except for one of his oil companies. The president had nothing to do with how the mortgage crisis came afoot, that was on large banks. As well Clinton had little to do with the surplus that came during his presidency and Obama had little to do with any peace that was had. He brought troops back home and did his damage with drones instead. War still remains.

None of us see this clearly yet, including your children, because everything is still being investigated still and until there are charges made and hearings about this it remains to be speculation. Rumours and quotes coming from 100's of places isn't always reliable. the hearings will clear that all up whether it is good or bad.

You do realize that Clinton got 89% of the black vote and nearly 70% of the Latino vote, right?

Yes, it's because they got duped by the fakestream media, instead of reading the article that I posted above ^^

As if that's anything to brag about.

Left wing poverty pimps make sure blacks vote Democrat.

Latinos dislike both the democrats and republicans. They vote the lesser of two evils.

Black people have been voting Democrat since the 1960's when the Voting Rights Act was signed.

Have they been duped? Sure. Anyone who votes for anyone who is a Democrat or a Republican has likely been duped in some way, shape, or form. Republicans convince old and religious people that if they vote Democrat then the heathen liberals will send Muslims into classrooms to rape their daughters then force them to have abortions while watching Rachel Maddow.

True.

And the supreme court just ruled the GOP is racist in their gerrymandering which lessons the value of the black vote.

The GOP has done this nationwide and is the reason why we have a majority of voters voting Democrat, but getting Republican representatives.

Racial gerrymandering is now illegal due to this precedent and the GOP was guilty of it, not the DNC, and the fact that the GOP disenfranchised millions of votes illegally based on race, and hold offices based on illegal racial gerrymandering, should be the main focus.

The simplistic response would be because he is a black man.

The real reason may be a willingness of Justice Thomas to consider issues more on their merits rather than a rigid conservative dogma view of constitutional construction. Ethics and equity now matter?
