                  This news took me surprise. I didn't expect that! Another great loss for the industry! I'm so sorry! He was only 52 years old!

                  I enjoyed a lot listening to Chris Cornell singing alone with just his acoustic guitar.

                                                  wow, what a huge loss. i can't belive they're saying suicide. one of the most talented vocalists to come out of the grunge scene when a lot of singers were barely singing. soundgarden and alice in chains were always my favorites from 90's seattle.

                                                                          Damn that sucks! He was a huge talent. What a singer and songwriter! Soundgarden was the only band I liked from the grunge era - they were really hard rock anyway. Audioslave and his solo stuff was good too. He really seemed to have his act together ... way too young.

                                                                                      Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Soundgarden was the soundtrack of my youth. To me, Chris Cornell's voice is the sound of rock n roll. I was lucky enough to see them live a few times and he sounds just as good live as he does on CD.

                                                                                      Today the music world fell on black days.

                                                                                      RIP Chris.

He had a 4-octave range voice. For a man so talented, he was not too-well-known all over the USA. I recognized the voice and feel bad for his family. Hopefully he's in a better place, away from his demons.

                                                                                                                                                          I haven't read of a suicide note though if there was one to his wife, I hope it remains hidden.
