yeah, I think I must of banged it too hard, cause when I put power to it, it grinds, but only sometimes, and my mobo doesn't detect it. ah well, other htan losing EVERYTHING I FUCKING NEEDED, it's ok, I get to buy that 100giger

I'm pretty sure if I ever had severe data loss like that I'd die. One of them is over 5 years old too, so it could happen at any time....

Im happy I uploaded all my galleries yesterday, i guess it's a fluke, and for the mp3's, I got tired of them, but im sure the HD is savable, it's sounds like something is stuck in there... wierd

test it in another machine? try a new ide cable? no point chucking it away if you still had stuff you need on there

I looked at the hard drive, a chip broke off...

stupid me, atleast it gives me a reason to get that new 100giger

I had almsot 2 weeks worth of woek there... along with some galleries i haven't uploaded

Don't know if its worth it but there was a company that did data retrieval in one of the offices hwere I used to work. Can't remember their name but companies do exist that do it. Pretty pricey I believe though

nah, I'd rather rebuild my galleries, it's not like it's super important, it's more of a drag
