Just out of curiosity, how would a company or individual raise funds for a business idea.

For example - You have the next adult social media platform that will take the industry by storm, how can you get investors.

I know sites like kickstarter and gofundme are out of the question as they do not allow adult related projects.

So what options are left ??

If you any sites, individuals or businesses that can invest in adult businesses, feel free to leave a reply below.

...the puchline on your question is as follows...

It cost money to raise money for investment. It also depends where you are located. In most Western countries if you solicit funds for it without:

A) approved prospectus
B) thru close friends

..you are just asking for legal trouble since it is illegal just about everywhere. So convince your local venture capitalist, broker or your rich distant uncle and off you go. But first get a good lawyer and protect your yet to be developed platform, because if it is that good then everybody ( including your distant uncle) will try to steal it.

The only exeptions are sites like Kickstarter...( since it is NOT investing)

Just because there are no crowd funding organisations for adult does not mean there aren't people willing to invest.

I would recommend reading The Lean Startup and Traction for some ideas on how to get your business off the ground on a limited budget. Once you have some momentum it will be easier to raise capital for your project.

Everyone has their stigmas, but once they see the green they are often willing to forget about those. Perhaps investing in Trailer Park Shit Stabbers Vol.5 wouldn't be such a bad idea, if it means they could retire a little earlier.

The internet does not require any investment for someone to make money so the idea of needing investors to get an idea off the ground can seem pretty ludicrous.

I don't think it's fair to say you can run those companies with no money. But I do think you can get an online business off the ground with a lot less equity and risk than say a manufacturing or construction business.

But I do think you can get an online business off the ground with a lot less equity and risk than say a manufacturing or construction business.

You can get an online business going for noi investment other than time.

Free blogs or Free sites with affiliate links to product.

No domain needed, free hosting. Just researching the products, signing up with the sponsors and writing/promoting the text/content.
