Major Annoucement: ICS buys XFR Networks - GoFuckYourself.com

Announced Thursday, April 17

ICS, parent company of Adult.com, announced today that it it has completed the acquisition of XFR Networks, located in Silicon Valley, California. XFR Networks (XFR.COM) is a provider of internet transit, bandwidth, and hosting services.

In addition to hosting many non-adult companies, XFR has provided expectional hosting to services to several top-tier companies in the adult industry. "We have been looking at strategic acquisitions, and have been incredibly impressed with XFR's services and capabilities", indicated ICS spokeman nicknamed Lensman. "California's Silicon Valley is the technology capital of the world, and XFR's internet connections are as little as one hop from the West's major aggregation point. That gives them the potential capability to connect directly with the largest ISPs, such as AOL and MSN, and deliver content faster and safer than just about anyone."

ICS intends to bring XFR services to both large and small adult site operators. "Some of the largest sites have been hosted by XFR for quite some time. They have the technical staff that has handled complex internet solutions for huge companies. But there is no reason that a webmaster can't have a server and a decent amount of bandwidth with XFR for less than $200 a month", said Lensman.

Ray Taft, XFR's CEO, will continue to operate XFR and there will be no change in XFR's operations. Says Taft, "We will focus on growth while maintaining a high level of customer service, and I think ICS's webmaster reach will be an enormous asset. ICS has agreed for XFR to continue to operate independently as part of the acquisition." Lensman adds "the only operational issue I want to know about is if there's a hosting deal that XFR cannot beat."
