guys, it doesnt have to do with throughput, it just makes more simultaneous connections possible, which loads up webpages much faster, especially when there are a lot of small images

There isn't a difference in speed but the pics do load faster. I'm impressed...I'm at 1249K in speed....

Amazing difference! I use net zero high speed, which I also highly recommend. It compresses files before sending them to you, so browsing is about 5 times faster than regular dialup.

GFY has always loaded slow for me. Now it's as fast as another board I call home.

I have a tour page that's sliced up into a shitload of itty bitty images, and it loaded about 10 times faster for me after I made these changes.

The only problem now is I might start making pages too heavy, because they load so fast for me I won't notice that they're slow as shit.
