It happens like clockwork. I now have eight years of stats to show that this week (April 8th - April 15th-ish) is the worst week sales-wise of the entire year.

Why?

Spring Break, Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter, Tax Day in the US, beginning of NBA and NHL Play-Offs, Passover and a full moon.....I hate April!!!

Earth Day coming up too so there goes the damn hippie market.

Anyone else hating April and waiting for May?

Probably. Like I said above, all those reasons combined = a shitty sales week. Plus you are in Spain, a highly Catholic country so I imagine everyone is at church instead of wanking it (like they oughtta be dammit!!).

Is this really historically a worst week? I haven't paid much attention the last 2 years, but noticed this week my eCPM dropped tremendously for no real reason...and I've even served personal record breaking amounts of clicks.

Well it always has been for me, beginning in 2009 when I started my own company.
I am in paysites so don't know how it affects cams and dating but would think it affects everyone.

I've noticed no dips.

Only days of the year where traffic is always significantly lower (but always rebounds and then some the next day) are the year-end/New Year holidays starting with Thanksgiving.

I'm in Japan, but we don't cater to Japanese traffic. Our target audience is probably identical to yours: North America, Western Europe, AUS/NZ, Singapore, etc.

Beginning of April people are reminded of the following events in April:

Palm Sunday April 9
Passover April 10-18
Easter April 16
Taxes April 18

(all dates are for 2017)

So people are not buying as much & going through bills and cancelling extra expenses & focused on being pure and paying for holiday expenses, travel, etc., just like before Christmas. So your rebills are going to be down next month, as usual.

All excellent points. And as I said, I have years of data to back up these numbers and facts.

I have a mass mailing set to go out Monday morning so a post-Easter bump would be much appreciated.

And it's true about May, too. The second worst month of the year is Spetember FYI.

I think mainly because of tax filings. Most people file during the last week, and it sucks up all that loose credit card money. $ 175 - $ 330 average filing fees.

first 7 days of this month were the worst for my cams but it picked up some. still the worst 2 week period in many years.

I did a test join and sale and the free join showed up but not the sale

I made some ccbill sales but thankfully I got a solid steady paycheck from the adult company I do work for weekly.

Yeah 50% down seems to be the norm for most businesses this month, including retail. Again this is nothing new. I keep hoping it will change but every year it's the same. haha thanks.. Some people. To continue on the state of CB cams I just looked back at this period last year and I made 3 times what I made this year. Same traffic minus a few k (95% of last years traffic)

Traffic are millions of humans who want to see something that inspires them to buy and just giving them a link or landing someone on a site, no longer cuts it.

I've said it before and will say it again. Getting traffic is the easy part, converting it is what's hard and if you can't afford to pay for traffic and/or create something that inspires people to buy. You're no longer going to find it easy to make a living.

Google, FB, YT, down to Youporn aren't great because they have traffic. They have traffic because they have something people want and need.

Those who think it's only about getting hits to their site, who have to worry about SEO, links, etc. Traffic are millions of humans who want to see something that inspires them to buy and just giving them a link or landing someone on a site, no longer cuts it. Getting traffic is the easy part, converting it is what's hard and if you can't afford to pay for traffic and/or create something that inspires people to buy. You're no longer going to find it easy to make a living. Google, FB, YT, down to Youporn aren't great because they have traffic. They have traffic because they have something people want and need.
