Russia payment to Manafort just got confirmed
Another part of the Trump dossier was just confirmed. Early on there was a hand written ledger that the Ukraine govt uncovered that showed several payments to Manafort Trump campaign advisor from Russia.
There was no proof other than the ledger, however proof just leaked and at least 1 of the payments on the ledger has been confirmed by bank statements. This shit is far from over boys... Records link some Ukraine ledger payments to ex-Trump aide Paul Manafort - CBS News |

So Manafort's political consulting firm apparently did work for some Ukrainian politicians in 2007 and 2009???
Gee...I wonder if the guy did other work around the world as well in other countries. Or was he supposed to tell his company that they are only allowed to work with U.S. clients? In one breath you hear the media pushing a "global economy"...in the next they "investigate" to see where your company has done business. Probably not much of an "investigation" either. Public knowledge if you really wanted to know it. But to find it out...they had to go back ten years and look at every political race in the world. lol Couldn't find anything in Russia...but found a client from 10 years ago who is politically "pro-Russian" in the Ukraine. Fuck...I just realized that I promote some of those teen "babe" sites. And the girls are Russian on those sites. I guess I now have "ties" to Russia. |

The ledger was for "under the table" (AKA ILLEGAL) payments by the pro-Russian Ukraine party. The ledger has a whole list of payments and lots of names, dating from way back until more recent times. These were the 1st two proven, there are many more on the ledger. Added to this Manafort claimed very publicly that the ledger was fake and he didn't do this nor did his firm. Not only has he been caught taking money under the table, he lied about it..Do you not comprehend this? Seriously why are you so in-capable of reading and understanding what is being written vs your fairly tale reality? Manfort's name appeared on the ledger 12 times with a total of 12.7 million in payments. This is 1.2 million of those payments confirmed.. The prosecutor confirmed that Manafort's name appears 12 times for 22 different entries, totaling $12.7 million between 2007 and 2012. Manafort has denied receiving any cash payments, and it's not his signature on the ledger. Investigators say they're tracking down those who did sign for the cash. The ledger itself is held at the anti-corruption bureau. We weren't allowed to film the Manafort pages because of the ongoing investigation, but a source showed us a copy of one page. On October 5th, 2012, Paul Manafort's name appears against a sum of $400,000 designated for exit polling. Another for $812,000 was marked for international observers. This was all under the table illegal payments.. Now 2 of them have been confirmed.. Manafort will be headed to jail.... |

This is basically more fleshing out of the Dossier and showing it was in fact a legitimate source of information, meaning further claims with-in it have a much better chance at being true.. This whole ordeal might just lead back into the Republican party/GOP not just Trump.. Trump alone would have never been able to change the GOP's stance on Russia, specially at that point because they did not like him at all and he hadn't even taken office at that point.. |

That's called preponderance of evidence Rochard.
Look that up. It is considered to be the weakest type of evidence in a court of law. You are using the same exact line of reasoning that people used on Obama: his dad is Kenyan, his brother is Kenyan, he went to a Muslim school, his name sounds Muslim...you get the picture. This is the kind of stuff that wouldn't go far in a court. To me you sound no different than some little old lady who "just knows" Obama is a Muslim who wants to destroy the US because just look at all the many things that point to it... It's a dumb argument no matter what your agenda is. |

Assad admitted to having chemical weapons and refused to sign a treaty to abolish them and dispose of his inventory. A dictator that drops barrel bombs filled shrapnel of nuts, bolts etc on children has no problem gassing them, he likely sees it as more humane.
Refusing to believe the truth & reality doesn't make it go away. List of chemical attacks on children in Syria March 19, 2013: More than two dozen people, including several Syrian soldiers, die in a sarin gas attack in northern Syria. The government and rebels each blame the other for the incident. Aug. 21, 2013: Hundreds of men, women and children are gassed with the banned nerve agent sarin in an attack near Damascus. The U.S. blames the Syrian government. April 2015 Syrian groups in Idlib province say barrel bombs containing chlorine were dropped. August and September 2016 Hospital officials and activists in Aleppo say chlorine gas is used in attacks. Feb. 28., 2017: Russia and China veto a U.N. Security Council resolution authorizing sanctions against Syria for chemical weapons use. April 4, 2017: An attack on a rebel-held city in northern Syria kills at least 86 people, 27 of them children. Autopsies on three Syrians who died after being brought to Turkey for treatment suggest sarin was used in the attack. |

Crocket,
I posted a good conversation where Eli Lake (Bloomberg) explains what a lot of these types of transactions are about. Almost everyone in Washington takes money from Foreign Governments, essentially they paying them to tell them what certain people in Washington etc.. are thinking, what's the current political vibe.. Flynn's request for immunity was basically about this. If you hold office you officially have to declare the funds as a Foreign Government agent (Again everyone does this) Flynn it appears took money from Turkey and filed it under a different title, not the Foreign Government agent act or whatever it's called. When he ''Resigned'' he instantly declared that money in the correct way. Now does he know other stuff? Maybe, but it's now obvious he did a no no with that Turkey money. This seems like the same type of payment. Which isn't illegal. Not defending them, just learned myself how shady everyone is it seems. To think they basically legally sell Gossip to other countries seems shady to me. |

I think that ALL the people who make a permanent living off of Govt. become corrupted after a few years.
And yeah...If you could make millions just talking to politicians from other countries and telling them what you think the politicians in Washington are thinking...then hell yes. You would be a fool not to take that easy money. In Manafort's case however...he is a political campaign consultant. He is one of those overpriced "experts" that all the politicians who LOST to Trump used. Trump only hired the guy when he was pressured by the media to get a "professional" running his campaign. Remember? CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc., etc. all kept running story's back in the beginning of 2016 saying that Trump's campaign was "imploding" and that he needed to fire Corey Lewandowski and hire a "real" campaign manager. I remember it well. Watching CNN in the morning of the day Trump hired Manafort and watching Chris Cuomo proclaim that Trump now had a professional and an "adult" running his campaign. He was hired as a guy who could "corral" delegates for Trump. Remember? He had all the connections nationwide with the Republican Party to make sure that no delegates jumped ship before the RNC convention. Manafort was previously an adviser to the U.S. presidential campaigns of Republicans Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bob Dole. So he had a long history of doing this (Rochard will probably claim that Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Dole are all Russian spies now too). And the big "controversy" is that he worked on the Ukraine Presidential campaign of Viktor Yanukovych in 2004 and again in 2010. Newsflash: That's his "job". He works on campaigns for politicians all over the world. Just like all of us, he works where the money is. Anyway, he worked for Trump for FOUR MONTHS. And in August of 2016 his job was done. The RNC convention took place and Trump's delegates all remained loyal. Trump then let him go and Kelly Anne Conway took over the campaign. The media immediately began saying that Trump's campaign was in "turmoil" and even Hillary Clinton said to Trump during the debate that his campaign was "imploding" Remember? A few weeks later...Trump was President. LOL! Seems like the media and many anti-Trump losers on GFY seem to forget all of these things and have no real knowledge of how the world works. |

2007 - 2009 were just the illegal payments discovered in the black ledger, he also "did business" with a Russian oligarch and a Ukrainian oligarch durring that period (more money laundering) Helping advance the Russian government backed Party of Regions in the Ukraine who backed Yanukovych who is now in exile in Russia for crimes against the Ukrainian people and high treason. Of course Putin protects another person committing crimes on his behalf, while saying he had nothing to do with them, or they didn't commit the crimes, like he says about Assad, of course. Manafort never registered as a foreign agent on behalf of the Ukraine to purposely mislead other politicians, businesses & the American public. |

I understood everything. You are saying I am giving you circumstantial evidence. And I am. Then I gave you the facts - Russia had a huge influence on our election.
The facts are Russia influenced our election. The facts are that Russia helped Trump win the election. The Russian government hacked both the Republicans and Democrats, then only released the information about the Democrats. And this was only part of it - the had thousands of people spreading fake news... Making fake websites and then spreading them on social media. The rest of the circumstantial evidence is just the icing on the cake. The truth will continue to drip drip drip for the next year. Seems Carter Page was under investigation for working for being a Russian agent. Surprise surprise surprise. Nearly everyone who works for the administration has ties directly to Russia.

Lane Crothers wrote something pretty good about this whole subject...people like Robbie who want to play devil's advocate should read carefully.
-------------------------------------------- don’t know – it’s hard for me to see any U.S. ties to Russia…except for the Flynn thing and the Manafort thing and the Tillerson thing and the Sessions thing and the Kushner thing and the Carter Page thing and the Roger Stone thing and the Felix Sater thing and the Boris Ephsteyn thing and the Rosneft thing and the Gazprom thing and the Sergey Gorkov banker thing and the Azerbajain thing and the “I love Putin” thing and the Donald Trump, Jr. thing and the Sergey Kislyak thing and the Russian Affiliated Interests thing and the Russian Business Interests thing and the Emoluments Clause thing and the Alex Schnaider thing and the hack of the DNC thing and the Guccifer 2.0 thing and the Ivanks hanging out with Putin's girlfriend thing and the Mike Pence “I don’t know anything” thing and the Russians mysteriously dying thing and Trump’s public request to Russia to hack Hillary’s email thing and the Trump house sale for $100 million at the bottom of the housing bust to the Russian fertilizer king thing and the Russian fertilizer king’s plane showing up in Concord, NC during Trump rally campaign thing and the Nunes sudden flight to the White House in the night thing and the Nunes personal investments in the Russian winery thing and the Cyprus bank thing and Trump not releasing his tax returns thing and the Republican Party’s rejection of an amendment to require Trump to show his taxes thing and the election hacking thing and the GOP platform change to the Ukraine thing and the Steele Dossier thing and the Leninist Bannon thing and the Sally Yates can’t testify thing and the intelligence community’s investigative reports thing and Trump’s reassurance that the Russian connection is all “fake news” thing and Spicer’s Russian Dressing “nothing’s wrong” thing so there’s probably nothing there since the swamp has been drained, these people would never lie probably why Nunes cancels the investigation meetings all of this must be normal just a bunch of separate dots with no connection.

A little more food for thought.
Today a story broke that the other members of the congressional intelligence committee that Nunes belongs to has now seen the papers that Nunes supposedly showed Trump that proved that Obama was wiretapping him and both the Democrats and Republicans on the committee have said that the documents contain nothing to back up his claims and that they contain nothing unusual. Sounds like Nunes was talking out his ass. |

The only reason they mask anything is to protect the privacy of every day average people - like you and me. I speak to people in Russia in a daily basis about routine business matters. It's even possible some of these discussions are recorded. Once they determine the call was routine and of no interest to the US government, the information is "masked". This way average people like all of us here on GFY don't have huge files at the CIA about every conversation we've ever had with someone in Russia. However, when someone is a former officer in the United States Military or worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency and they speak to someone in the Russia government or someone who works for the government in China, well, there is no reason for it to be masked. It's a matter of national security. Even if it is routine, it's still added to his file. What is most stunning is how this all came to light. Nunes originally claimed it was "whistle blowers" who showed him this information (lol, at the White House) and then he went to Trump with it. It was Trump's staff who showed it to Nunes, and obviously they had discussed it with Trump before showing it Nunes. If they didn't, they would have nothing more than people leaking information - the same people Trump is demanding we press charges against. This is all bullshit. This was nothing more than an attempt to distract everyone from the truth, and it failed. In fact, it just made the Trump White House look silly.
