hey a remake! Hollywood is so creative.

This is a reboot, the best of the original 2 part series with variation of the original plot. A remake is an exact copy update of an original.
It's not a Hollywood thing, it's a human cultural thing. We modernize popular folk lore to carry them through the next generation just like the Dutch do, like every society does. They did it with the bible too. You're not very smart
