SexTracker Cookies

I have a few sites using the sextracker counter. I always get a privacy statement at the bottom right of my browser. I have my browser config to automatically accept these cookies.

My questions are: Am I loosing visitors if they have their browser config. to high security or they cannot accept cookies? Does the browser close? what happens? Are these cookies even safe? Do they scare off a % of visitors?

I'd say that it's safe to say you do lose traffic over High security settings that a user specifies. However, something to keep in mind is that cookies are used on nearly all web sites (including e-commerce) to store information about a user. I don't think you should focus too much on that.

"Tukhman" I know other sites use cookies but i never get a lame warning at the bottom of my browser like i always get with sextracker. I'm not sure if i should be using sextracker anymore...plus now that there is paycounter...im not sure what to do, i have like 100 or more sextrackers replacing them could take a while.

I see, then you are most likely using the later versions of Netscape or Internet Explore (6 and above I think), where they require third-party cookies to do adjustments in their code to ensure that their privacy is legitimate.

We have done this for SexCounter about 6 months ago, after hearing the same complaints...

I just pulled up one of SexCounter development e-mails from last year and this is what we've discussed:

Shit... it didn't show up as it's HTML code, but anyway, hope that clarifies.
