    Appropriate length for Sizzle Reel?

    Hi guy/gals,

So I am putting together my sizzle reels for editing and videography. The FIRST reel will be a collection of mainstream stuff (youtube clients I've shot and edited for, ads and commercials, music videos...). The SECOND is the adult reel, featuring the various scenes I've shot and edited over the past few years.
I have seen reels of others that range from 1 minute to 3 minutes and I have even edited reels for others that are just all over the place.

As editing is my specialty, how long should my demo reel be? Is 2 minutes too long/too short? Should I create several reels?

    Your input is appreciated.

Brevity is your friend when it comes to a demo reel. Start and finish with the best pieces and keep it moving. Don't allow anything to "sit there" for too long. I would say 1:30 is the sweet spot for length.
