    Jamaica...1 week or 2?

    Advice?

    Isnt Jamaica politically unstable?

    I don't wish to have a typical RESORT vacation.

    I'd heard Negril can be interesting with the right travel guide.

              We went down for the Negril Net Bash and we were there for one week and it was plenty of time. Negril isn't the resort, resort type thing, but it's nice. You would definitely have plenty of time for a week's worth of stuff....2 weeks might be pushing it unless you really, really, really want to just lay on the beach smoking, boozing, or drinking some fine mushroom tea.

                      Well... I am off to jamaica (Ritz Carlton - Montego Bay) in 2 weeks, for a week. Figured someone on this HUGE FREAKING community had posted something and sure enough... found this thread.

                      We have Negril planned for a day. But are probably going to just lounge around and get drunk, high and who knows what else...

                      Any tips? anyone been?
