Juicy was good a few years ago, now way too many bots. They fucking send blind skim to the banners now. It's fucking amazing that they get away with that.

PlugRush is bot city. Set up a banner campaign and just watched all the same IP's come rolling in. Hilarious.

That's because the traffic brokers are sending blind skim traffic to the banners, making the advertiser think he's getting real clicks. Fucking scams. The clicks look real because you are getting a unique IP, but the source is just a skim and the person landing on your website didn't want to go there to begin with.

When is somebody gonna sue these fucking scam ass traffic brokers? How do they get away with this shit year after year and get awards for it??

i don´t know with WHO you had to do til now but you should not talk abot "the trafficbrokers" - there are many around who try to prevent that bot shit.

infact the MOST bots you get on ads are caused BY THE ADVERTISERS who are PAYING A LOT OF MONEY for adspy tools with the goal to copy the campaigns what are running over a longer periode.

these idiot advertisers do not even THINK how this adspy services get on this data and don´t realize that the same bot he financed with his membership fee will click HIS ADS later too (because to click it and get through til the end is the only way to capture this data).

this is not a very new issue but an issue what is getting worse every day and it is a cat and mouse game to be up to date of all possible techniques to dedect this bots.

there ARE ways to detect about 90-95% of them and reliable networks are using this technique but they will never be able to catch them all.

I really think the problem of bot traffic is with the broker themselves. They install their own bot programs in with their regular programs to pad and increase their margins and "blame it on somebody else." Bot traffic is the new Hamburger Helper, but the chef himself is using it and not telling the customer.

Everybody knows adult has been dying for years and the only way for these traffic pimps to earn a profit is to use bot traffic. Depending on the broker, the bot traffic can be as high as 60 or 70%... IF you catch it.

And what kills me is, if you don't check and re check constantly all your traffic, you end up paying for bot, because they are savy, they will sell you real traffic, then slowly send in the bots. You'll never know. Then, when you discover the bot traffic, the brokers go into their well scripted speech: (and I've heard this from every single one of them)

"I'm so sorry you have been receiving bot traffic. We work very hard to always find and remove the bot vendors from our website. Thank you for bringing this to our attention."

The same fucking speech over and over again.

The truth is, the traffic brokers themselves are selling bot traffic to you, and getting away with it, until you catch them. Then, you get the speech, and sometimes a refund OR they just close your account if you bitch and complain. But even if you get a refund, you still lost money because you missed out on sales you might've made with real traffic.

It's a fucking crime done right in people's faces every single day, with no regulation what so ever. I still can't believe none of these high end traffic pimps have not been sued.

Porn webmasters, most don't have the funds, time or ability to sue, so they just get fucked and move on, and the next one takes his/her place.

That's why these fuckers can stay afloat selling bot traffic, because there is a new adult webmaster born every 2 seconds and the all have some flash cash to start their 'new business' with 'shiny new traffic' until they end up buying nothing but numbers on a screen and lecture from the broker saying things like: "Your banners are not very attractive, that is why you are not getting any clicks" and "sorry you got bot traffic, but we can only refund your money for the last 30 days, and not for the last 6 months."

Sometimes they use the bot traffic in a different way. Juicyads will pump up a banner spot with bots to 3,000 impressions a day, and 200 bot clicks a day. Looks good, so you buy it for $ 60. But after your banner goes up, you get 13 clicks a day. What happened? You just got robbed. And if you complain, you will get the "your banner isn't getting clicks because it isn't very pretty" speech. Great loophole they created. They stole your $ 60 and make you feel like it's your fault. That is pure genius. But what the buyer doesn't know is the website impressions are 80% bot and the prior banner was getting all bot clicks, until you bought it. Then, you are left with the real organic clicks from the real traffic that is only about 20%, giving you the 13 clicks a day.

The other way is buying a banner spot from any of these brokers and they send blind skim traffic to it, so you think you are getting nice clicks, with real IP's, but the surfer was just jacked from a Ford Motor website. Your bounce rate from those banners should be around 99.99999%.

All these fucking thieves and assholes are doing anything they can to stay afloat, selling bot traffic and accepting awards for it. Awards? Can you believe that bullshit? Who is the genius that came up with that marketing strategy? "Your traffic must be real because you won a award!"

FUCK.

That is why CPM is better then CPC in order to avoid bot clicks.
