Why is it so bad and evil to be a "nationalist"?

So if you live in the USA you're not supposed to the USA first? I don't get it? Why is the media in an all out war against people who like their country and want to put it first. WTF?

its because of the past, where actual racists used the banner of nationalism in conjunction with their hate of "inferior" people. in many cases, ones nationality & ethnicity are one & the same. america is exception to this.

the problem is that this is totally different than trumpism, which is mostly an economic patriotism.
