The United States has the strongest military in the world. Oh, you can argue and debate this until you are blue in the face but the truth the US military is the only military force in the world that has a blue water navy and the ability to project military power in every corner of the globe. The United States Navy has more aircraft carriers than all other countries combined, And the United States Navy is the only navy in the world that can send an aircraft carrier group around the world. (Russia recently sent it's only aircraft carrier to the MED and has to send a fucking tug boat along with it because it breaks down so often.)

Perhaps Trump failed to notice what our military has been doing for the past fifteen years. In 1991 we bitch smacked Saddam so hard that he was begging for mercy and agreed to our terms. After 9/11 we removed the Tailban from power in a matter of weeks with a small amount of forces. We went back to Iraq later on and in a matter of three weeks we destroyed both the Iraqi military and it's government.

What happened in the war with Iraq in 2003 is amazing. The United States has completely mapped out the entire Iraqi communication system, and in the opening strike completely destroyed the ability of the Iraqi military to communicate with itself. The very first strike, which Iraq never saw coming, more or less ended the war.

He claims that we have "lost in the Middle East" but that is surely not true from a military perspective. We've only gone to war with two countries in the Middle East, and we've destroyed both of them.

We have even won against ISIS, and done so without major risk to American forces. The United States is supporting the (new) Iraqi military while they are doing the fighting - ISIS is being defeated, and Americans are not losing lives. Win win.

I love our military and I would love to see the United States Marine Corps triple in size, but... At what cost? We can dump trillions of dollars into our military and at the end of the day we'll have the same exact thing we have now - the most powerful military in the world.
