Best way to mark images

Hello, I was wondering what is the best way to mark my images with my logo and website address?? Is there a program or better way for doing thousands of images rather than by hand.

Thanks,
Rpet

Here's something easier. Run a Pshop Action... it'll do everything for you automatically.

PhotoShop. Batch process.

New layer, expand the canvas to be a square at the largest dimension of the largest image, create the watermark, rotate it horizontally, rotate it vertically, create another new layer, put 1 pixel of neutral grey into each corner, flatten the image to a transparency, select all.

open an image, record these actions: rotate canvas horizontally, rotate canvas vertically, paste, rotate canvas horizontally, rotate canvas vertically, flatten image, stop recording, undo all processes, begin recording again, save=yes. Stop recording, (again)

Run batch process on entire folder.

Work your batches correctly and you'll be able to create thumbs, create watermarks, and build entire galleries with the click of one button.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PHOTOSHOP, YOU FUCKERS!

Redshoe - Can you explain the rotate part? I use PS batches to watermark right now but have to do horiz & vert separately...which is obviously a pain in the ass & a huge waste of time if I don't need to.

Thanks!

The image rotate is necessary ONLY if your images vary in size. If they are all the exact same dimensions then, no need to rotate.

If some are 300x200 and 200x300, then if you watermark some will come out right and some will be fucked up.

The paste feature works off a ZERO coordinate starting at the upper left corner of the image. So if you want your watermark to be in the lower right corner (which is standard for a watermark) then you will need to find a way to get it there for each image. The only way I could get it to be in that corner for different size images was to rotate the image vertically , and then horzontally, and do the same to the watermark.

Since it will paste into the upper left hand corner (since that's the ZERO coordinate), it will then be in the lower right corner after you roate the image back (horizontally, and vertically).

So, this method ONLY applies if your images are of varying sizes.

It's something that I came up with after trying to get a watermark into that lower right corner. If you can think of a better way to batch watermark 2000 images of different dimensions, please let me know.

This description is more explanation of what's happening.

The actual process of setting this up literally only takes 40 seconds to set up once, then every time after that it's a simple batch process.
