btw. are you a German- German born in Germany or German from Switzerland ? asking because...while I appreciate the fact that Germany these days doesnt want to conquer the world with tanks and army, but rather products and tech (like Japan for example), I think that your nation has some kind of Hitler-insecurity that is written in your psyche since few generations and is still there alive. maybe I'm wrong, maybe not. anyway, the point is - healthy thing IMO is if you are "normal" and accept that even as a good/normal person you may have bad history/ things that you did. If you however will try to be good all the time, because you fight with your shadow of "evilness", you will become carricature of yourself and your shadow will again "win", this time in different way.

Sweden had this problem of increasing rapes LONG BEFORE immigrants or refugees have been a topic.

• Prostitution was banned in 1998

• In 2005, the law on rape was also extended to married couples (with other word, if the guy touch his own wife and she say "NO" it is a rape). The BIGGEST part of this rape crimes happens AT HOME.

• In 2012, Sweden began to deal with harsh laws and filters against Internet pornography
  (another example is Denmark what kicked the "porn laws" in 1966 and that caused a decrease of 58% in rapes)

I will not doubt that there IS INDEED a problem with immigrants especially from africa and some muslim countries what need a solution. I just do not accept, that this is the MAIN AND ONLY reason. As we can see it clearly in the Sweden example there are more and much bigger problems in our own societies. We should not make others guilty for our own homemade problems.

as we are the porn industry it would be in example much more interessting to watch the rape numbers in countries where porn is forbidden. THAT would make sense and i can tell you that this investigation leads to astonishing facts.

and i will also tell you WHY it would make more sense:
because first of all they will use this "rape numbers" in a near future to make US guilty and as a reason to limit or prevent access to porn sites.
they will use US to charge for dubious "porn taxes" (exiting already in Italy, UK, planned in South Carolina and also planned in France)
trump will be the first who will go against internet porn because the majority of his voters are older christian folks who will be with him in that case.

no you are not very wrong with this assumption but you can´t take me as an example of the "usual german" because I never accept things before I did not research and find the truth. I did that all my life - even when i was a child.
Out of that i left Germany many years ago and I lived in many places of this planet.
That´s why I might have also a broader view as the most people here because I lived with many different cultures and learned to find the good aspects in each of them.

you are also correct when you say that germans do not want to be famous for tanks or weapons but on the other hand, Germany is the 3rd biggest weapon exporter of the world. You will not find many Germans what are proud on that.

About the "Hitler-insecurity" you are also fairly right but that was caused by a brainwash education the after-war-generation received.
We were educated to be guilty for all and everything and this psychosis is still in a lot of Germans. At the moment you find in Germany 3 sorts of people.

1. The ones who still agree to be guilty (they just do what they got told)
2. The ones who do not agree but do not have education and follow the "easy explanations" and enemy pictures (they are radical, unlogic and discuss only with a baseball bat in their hand)
3. The third group are the people who really investigated in the own history and in the backgrounds. People who found out that the truth is mostly in the middle and not in any extreme. This group does not want to be guilty anymore and they also do not accept that WW2 was a crime. but these people hate any kind of dictatorship, hitler and the cruels he made. This group has the gift to see the mistakes of the past as a school for a better future - and infact they worry the future more as they worry the past.

I think I do not have to explain that I see myself in this 3rd group and even when I left the country already 25 years ago I still feel that I am German and I do not want to change it because beside their bad and boring ones, german´s have a lot of nice characteristics what makes them very unique.

i do not fight with MY shadow - I have nothing like that. I fight with stupity and superficiality. I fight with dumbness and people who adapt meanings just because of laziness. I think there is no place for easy answers and easy going information in a complicated world. An I fight with the lies of people like trump who USES all this behaviours and superficial minds for his own favour.
if there is something what i´ve learned from Germany (and other countries) history than it is the fact, that ALL big problems in the world have startet 100000% EXACTLY LIKE THAT.
