Camgasm Thoughts (Since The Summer)

Seems a flop so far. They were banking on it beating chaturbate and thought they could pay smaller referral commission, but lower conversions with lower payouts means few will promote camgasm and instead focus on chaturbate or the many other solid premium cam options.

If I'm being honest, I never really saw the point in it, personally. That doesn't mean it won't be successful, I just never fully embraced the idea of a NN cam site being a real financial monster.

That's right. The 10% got me a $35 sale, I made $3.5. They should probably change it to 30+% at least to get the juices flowing.

If you look at LiveJasmin, they do this really well and my stats show the truth about it. All fun happens behind closed doors basically, so no one really gets a free show at all. The girls are hot enough to pay and the selection is there.

If Camgasm some how got to that level, they might be able to pull it off.

Although I don't consider LiveJasmin the same concept as Camgasm, I agree with your point about the overall feasibility. Whereas, as you stated, LiveJasmin is still a pay-to-play concept (historically, a strong sales strategy), Camgasm seems to be conceptualized as Chaturbate without the nudity (and judging by CB customer trends, that doesn't seem to interest many of the CB paying member base).

The other problem that I see is the fact that they seem to be trying to aggressively cannibalize their own customer base, instead of forcing Camgasm to stand on its own merit and compete as a different niche and brand (I don't agree with this marketing strategy, but that's just me). A quick check of first 10 Camgasm "Featured" rooms (as of right now) shows 6-17 viewers/room (with the vast majority being "anonymous" non-members). The exact same check of the first 10 Chaturbate "Featured" rooms (exact same time frame) shows viewer rates of 1889-7778 viewers/room (with around half being "anonymous" non-members). Taking into consideration the fact that Chaturbate seems to force pop a Camgasm tab to nearly every Chaturbate viewer, I think we can rule out the problem being an overall lack of traffic or exposure (nor do I believe that it is a market saturation issue). My personal opinion, therefore, is that the issue is concept/strategy-related.


TL;DR: Overall, I think that Camgasm has the possibility for potential but lacks its own solid identity. Given it's present marketing strategy, I feel that Camgasm is a failing concept.

The free sites are small in comparison to the LJ and SM sites of the world..

Most 'satellite' or clone sites are failures.

I haven't made a dime nor have I even attempted to setup an XML or any script like I have with Chaturbate. Camgasm felt like a small slap in the face for people who've invested energy, time, and money.

I still make a good amount on Chaturbate. I've promoted Bonga, Live Jasmin, Flirt4Free and have made nothing.

Quit wasting time.

Since september I earned 151,71$ with camgasm ! I don't see a great future for that site maybe, I am wrong. The others no nudity in free chat sites like imlive, xlove and livejasmin are still converting nice!

Nice, so you've earned that with them or you made that in sales? Like you've gotten a payout? If so there might be hope!

Around 50 a day nothing really but still get the odd sign up

Not a bad way to test, especially when I'm sending 700 hits a day with 0-10 signups and no income, I don't think you're missing out AT THIS POINT.
