the unemplyment rate of USA is far under the most modern countries in the world. in fact less than 5% is called FULLEMPLOYMENT !!!! an unemployment rate 0% has never exist anywhere in the world. not even in the communist countries.

i live in thailand the most time of the year and i see what prosperity means. it does not mean to make a lot of money - it means that you can buy a lot for the money you make.

so even if the income in US increase 100% it will not give you any better life if the prices will double up too.

correct - and btw - if you know how that is handled usually in asia - sure this companies do pay tax here but AFTER reducing their costs. one part of the costs is going back to US for so called "namelicences". that means that us have incomming money from this markets and not little.
also the technology these companies are using here comes from US. and the technology from the german companies comes from Germany and it is PAID WITH MONEY from the ASEAN market.
sure the buying power in asi ist not similar to the 35.000 dollar per head of each of the 350 americans but asia have 4,4 billion citizens and even when each one have a tenth of the american buying power the market volume is much higher as in USA.

trump is on the best way to lose all that and force the rest of the world to get nearer to each other to fill out this hole. but who will get hurt at the end?

for me he is not in the near of a good economist - he might be good as a corruptionist.

The problem is the democratic system. When so many get poorer they start to vote for people who will change things. This is happening all over the US and EU. People are sick of excessive borrowing, losing jobs, companies, taxes, GDP, to the Third World because it makes only the top 10% richer.

Saying it's good because some of the money comes back to the West is ignoring the fact that it doesn't replace the money lost and the fact that the Third World is now doing the inventing itself.

if you see the world economy same as a business you have to know that there can not be income from the own country. that would be the same as you are a business ower open the cash, take money out and buy in your own shop.

paul: the very FIRST thing you have to understand is WHAT MONEY IS. Money is the equivalent or bargain for completed performance.
that means: one performace for the other in kind of xchange rate.

if a country have that much dept as US it means that they have spend money already for performances what haven´t be made.

In other words, the country has laid its own conditions for decades and created artificial prosperity at the expense of its own children. And now they want that back from other countries what haven´t created that issue.

Without cheap foreign labours Americ acan not survive because things would be MUCH more expensive as they are now - that would lead to less consumption and leass consumption leads to less work.

And what was mentioned here was also another CORRECT issue, because we spoke about US companies what are producing in Thailand FOR the ASEAN market. Make wins there and a part of this wins floods back to US. If they would think here the same as cramp does, they would not even allow it, because that good are produced IN the asean market FOR the asean market and US companies make profits wich are partial directed to USA.

and not only that. these companies are producing in Thailand with high tech imported from USA what keeps even more jobs in USA alive.

we can discuss that as long as you want - if trump not change his mind and listens to the real wize and expirienced economists in the world USA will have in 2 years a MUCH bigger crisis as the one from 2007 what is still effecting tha markets after 10 years.
the next crisis will make US completely bankrupt, because there is no one in the world who will help. all the countreis what could help than are already in own treade exchanges and used to survive without USA. they will not pay money for buying a disease.

the biggest part of this low wage level average appeas to FOREIGN WORKERS in USA.

sure you can replace a taxi driver from pakistan with a US driver when you pay him 6000 dollar per month. but WHO can afford to drive taxi then ?

and yes there are MANY of them in this low paid jobs because no american will work for this money but want to buy this goods CHEAP.

have you ever reseached what kind of people are working in this jobs ?

do you know how this is called ? SLAVERY !!!! and this slavery is the one and only chance that americans are still able to live a good live with all they need.
without it they will have a 30.000 dollar job what makes them able to buy a bycicle instead of a new car.
