    Mattis warns North Korea of 'overwhelming' response to nuclear use

    After decades of appeasing N.K. while N.K. resolutely improved its military capabilities. The US is drawing a line.

    Doing nothing hasn't made the world safer, it's made it more dangerous. China is now a serious military threat and backs N.K. who have built more and better arms.

    If war is coming, better to be a trade war or a war against an inferior opponent. Sitting back and wishing it all stays good. Didn't work before and won't work now.

          I'm not really sure it needed to be said - I think they kind of guessed what with the 27,000 US soldiers on their doorstep...

                  You have a point. Just allow NK to overrun SK.

                  Or just hope the huge military build up is never put to use. Whoops to late for that China has already invaded other lands.

                  I do agree with your comment on 1954. Allowing NK to take SK would have meant a bigger useless State relying on China to feed it. Seeing as China couldn't feed itself in 1954, the death by starvation would have been horrible.

                          Where these people come up with their opinions is amazing...there is no way in hell China would back NK...as a member of the UN, China has backed sanctions on them...and they certainly don't want 100s of thousands of refugees from NK pouring into China.

                          China likes the little buffer zone between SK and China..and the US along with China and Japan has been supplying North Korea with 75% of their food for years

                          Posturing is only as good as the lack of intelligence of the people you posture towards - otherwise you just look like a fool that falls for everything reporters put out these days as "experts" on foreign issues
