That's all fine and dandy, but try telling it to the CID agent when you're getting audited.

An interesting note in the news today from congressional GAO testimony basically indicating the agency's IT systems are still not up to steam and $280 billion is gathering dust in the uncollected files.

I never understood with a $10 billion budget why they can't get their systems functioning. Just doesn't add up.

irs.gov says

In 1913, the states ratified the 16th Amendment, which gave Congress the authority to enact an income tax.

about the author of Supreme Law

http://www.etext.org/lawsuit/

Paul Andrew Mitchell (also known as Mitch Modeleski)

Mr. Mitchell is the operator of the "Supreme Law Firm" web site and a self-appointed expert on matters of Federal law. It appears that the "Supreme Law Firm" is not a law firm in the sense that it is not operated by attorneys.

and wow.. this is an interesting read about the lengths this guy has gone to in order to "be free". haha

I went in to my local voter registrar's office and asked if she could check to see if my earlier registration had been rescinded.* She told me it had been done the day I had filled out the rescission form.* I thanked her for her efficiency and asked if I could now register to vote.* I let her fill out the form, as she seemed to not want me to mess her form all up with my amendments.* She then handed it to me for my signature.* I changed the small 'c' in '...citizen of the United States' to a capital 'C', and added 'of America' above it.* I noted that she did not enter in a SIN, nor did she check the U.S. citizen box.* I noticed that she had printed in 'KS' for state of birth, and told her that I was not born in the federal territory of 'KS' that I was born in Kansas, and asked her to change it.* She did so.* I wrote 'Without Prejudice UCC 1-207' above the signature line and signed it.* She then administered the oath.* I said 'of America' at the proper place and she seemed satisfied.* I am once again a Citizen with the power to affect my government.*

I think large organizations have big problems keeping up with technology. You and I can toss out our desktop machine ever 2 years or so for the latest model with the operating system that all the best software is designed for.

A gigantic organization can't update itself and its software all the time. Just the decision-making process can take so long that by the time they are ready to reach a decision, the original options have become outmoded or obsolete.

Frequently, changes involve a top-to-bottom total overhaul, which is extremely difficult if not impossible to do within a complex organization that must keep functioning at all times.

No wonder some companies are still having their code written and maintained in Cobol, Fortran and other ancient computer languages.

Without even looking I know it's either way-out-there conspiracy theory or sheer wackiness.

How fortunate of us to have a true psychic in our midsts. Someone who can make decisions without any facts whatsoever. Quite a talent you've got, there.

You apparently haven't done a search on Massivecock to see what silly and outrageous stuff this guy digs up.

i've heard a lot about this tax thing - i do intend to do more research because this does intrigue me, and it seems possible, if any of the things i've seen have been true.

and i am by no means a "conspiracy chaser"...

I pasted that link to a friend and he pasted this one back:

http://www.paynoincometax.com/chapter1.htm

interesting but this guy's spiel comes across a lot easier to swallow.

Think for the fuck of it I will call the IRS today and just "ask" if filing and paying federal income taxes is voluntary or mandatory, just to see what they say.
