    Sort of amazing this guy has 3.5 million subs

    This guy just goes out into the woods and builds shit by hand like primitive people would have. No fancy studio, no fancy tools just a camera in the woods..



    He released this video today and it already has over 300k views..

    edit, btw for comparison, 3.5 million subs is more than viceland has (they have a bit under 500k as a comparison)

                  Viceland is side, spinoff channel for Vice. Main Vice channel has 7.5 million subs. 3.5 million is still impressive for one guy though.

                                                                  he's still doing the vlog thing...just not daily..but this is the travel time of year so he only gets them out every few days..I saw him with Gary Vee a few days ago

                                                                              It completely depends on the content, but for this guy, I have to guess it'd be about the same as porn--1000 dollars per million users. His traffic is just random people, largely from reddit. Untargeted, general traffic just isn't worth very much.

                                                                              If you have a more targeted youtube channel--guitar lessons, tax information, investing advice, whatever--you can make way more, because your traffic is actually worth a lot to particular advertisers.
