Help with Video Input...
Hey Gang,
I had my mini dv connected to my computer and was using it fine for some time. About 2 days ago, I installed one of those stupid eyeball cams so my girlfriend can do some cam shows. Well... now my mini dv isn't being recognized by my computer. Any ideas on how to fix? - PornAddict |

Un-install the crappy web cam. Why use that when you can use your video cam and it is working fine?
If I have a $15 web cam or a $1000 DV cam...which would I use.... Tough decision. |

The webcam is uninstalled. The company that sells the live cam suggest we use the eyeball cam instead of the mini dv for whatever reason... that's why I used a crappy $15 cam instead of my $1000 mini-dv. That still didn't help solve my problem though.

For real though.....Uninstall the hardware that you use for the DV cam. Reboot and re-install it. |

I tried as you suggested and it still wasn't recognizing it...
When I first installed my minidv, I simply just plugged it in and XP found it. I'm not having the same luck though. I'll keep trying differrent things (like drop kicking it and/or spraying it with my hose). Seriously though.... thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it. - PornAddict |
