A very odd .avi and .wmv problem with cutting the movies..
Ok I was hired to make galleries for someone and I REALLY want to do it, but I've downloaded this persons movie content in the members section, and it's in DivX .avi format and .wmv, I need to make movie galleries and cut them into 8 second clips which is always easy. But this time, I've used TMPGEnc PLUS, EO Video, XP Movie Maker and also tried Adobe Premiere to convert the file and then open in one of those programs. It doesnt even open in any of those programs not even Adobe! This is the oddest thing I've ever experienced, does anyone have a remedy? Thank you.

Try virtual dub for the avi, and ASF Tools 2.0 for wmv. Both are free programs and work quite well.

Sound like you are missing some codec
Try using Gspot to identify the codec Download - more info about gspot for more cutting software, try http://dvd.box.sk/index.php?pid=soft...ols=cut&pol=22 |
