Candyman is the only movie to ever make me literally jump out of my seat in the theater, and every time I saw it on video I had fright fits ~ shoving my face into pillows and such.
Definitely my number one for scary.

Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic for me, after that mostly B movies ~ The Blob, Toxic Avenger... Glitter...

Problem is every movie i have went to,I never see the movie because my girl distracst me by sucking my cock throughout the film. When i shoot I think for a sec that cool I can start watching the film now, but nooooooooo she starts gobbling my cock again.

I have yet to meet a chick that can handle it in one sitting. Chesire almost did but she had to come up for air.

I'd never go down on Juicylinks during a Horror movie

It would have to be a comedy, so as to mask the reasons for my uncontrollable fits of laughter.

You guys all remember BATMAN & ROBIN: THE MOVIE with the character of BANE? Well, that movie did not portray BANE as he really was. BANE is a criminal mastermind in all actuality. He is not a mindless idiot that mumbles and takes orders from POISON IVY.

Man, I remember seeing The Blob on TV when I was about 5. I watched it right up until the old farmer-dude starts poking a lump of blob with a stick, and it rolls down his arm and eats him. I ran and hid behind the recliner and screamed my head off, had nightmares for weeks. I was a sensitive child...

My faves now are:

1. Alien -- I think someone on here referenced the idea that Alien is a haunted house movie in outer space. I think that idea is orginally from Stephen King's non-fiction book Danse Macabre. It's a great book, if you love horror movies and horror fiction, definitely pick that one up!

2. The Haunting -- now, I'm talking about the 60's black-and-white version of Shirley Jackson't book The Haunting of Hill House. That movie, even though they show absolutely no gore, no nothing, can reduce me ot a quivering glob of fear everytime. It's about how what they DON'T show you becomes so terrifying in your mind's eye...no Hollywood FX could ever compare.

This is one scary movie..."Come Home Eleanor" written in blood on the wall, the door that bulges in and out like a heart beating, Eleanor thinking she's holding Theo's hand all night while they're scared out of their wits, but there was *something* else there...ack! I'm getting chills thinking about it.

3. The Sixth Sense

4. Okay, laugh if you want, but there's a recent episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that has got to be one of the scariest things I've ever seen on TV -- "Conversations with Dead People." If you use Kazaa, check it out. The scary stuff is Dawn home alone while the entire house starts going crazy, (There's blood on the wall that reads: "Mother's milk is red today" and the furniture rearranges itself between lightning flashes) and she starts hearing these thunderous booming noises.

She eventually calls out "Okay, once for yes, twice for no! Do you understand me?" The house booms back once.

"Mom -- is that you?" (Her mother died last season.) The house booms back once -- yes, it is her mother.

"Are you okay?"

One boom...followed quickly by another. No.

"Are...are you alone?"

One boom...followed quickly by another -- loudly, frantically. NO.

Then the shit hits the fan.

5. Okay, my #5 is another Buffy episode: "Hush." Also available on Kazza, with Norwegian subtitles for some bizarre reason.

Fairy-tale monsters called the Gentlemen come to town, and steal everyone's voices...and rip out some hearts. The makeup on these Monsters of the Week is great, and they are totally fucking creepy. And the ep pulls off a neat trick -- for most of the episode, there is NO dialogue. It's very well done.

1. the ring - english version in theatre... had heart attack when girl came out of TV
2. Carrie - alone in the basement years ago
3. Black Christmas- same as above
4. Brotherhood of the Wolf
5. any of the old wes cravens - his new stuff is horrible, can't believe he would stoop so low now

didn't find Susperia scary at all, i haven't seen his other films yet.

how's different is the Japanese version of the ring opposed to the english one?

really into campy 80's slasher flicks as well... like april fools day, any involving high school reunions and angry nerds with revenge on their minds.

wish there was more horror-porn flicks......

April Fools Day is a good ass movie! It's been coming on cable here lately so I'll have to sit and watch it again when I have time.

A newer troma movie I like is Terror Firmer!

Prom Night is a good one I forgot to list.

I'll probably think of more after I click Submit Reply

Bane (Jeep Swenson): Idiotic doesn't quite cover what is done to the character of Bane, who definitely is the most ruined character in this film treatment. In the Batman comics, Bane is Batman's ultimate challenge--not only is he physically stronger than Bruce Wayne, he is also smarter. The problem is that the venom which coarses through his veins makes him crazy. In Batman and Robin, the only thing left of Bane comic fans know and love is his bulk and the venom. Bane is nothing more than a generic, grunting, intelligence-impaired, muscled henchman to Poison Ivy. The saddest thing about the raping of Bane, he being a rather recent addition to the Batman comic universe, is that most mainstream moviegoers won't even know that anything has been done wrong.
