There are multiple reports out there. The 35 page report was not created by a 4chan idiot, he changed a few things on an existing report and it got linked around the internet. That's not the report the FBI/CIA are using.. You should actually read some of the articles and follow whats going on before you get trolled by 4chan idiots again.. the BBC article I linked a few posts back gives a very good run down of the events as we know them so far. edit here is the link.. Trump 'compromising' claims: How and why did we get here? - BBC News If you can read that article and the info it contains and still think some idiot from 4chan was behind it, you are not very smart. |

It's just like the unemployment rate. The unemployment rate is the unemployment rate. It's the same exact figure we've used since I was born. When the official unemployment rate is 4.6%, it means the unemployment rate is 4.6%. It doesn't mean we need to have a discussion about people who are under employed or people who are no longer looking for employment blah blah blah. The unemployment rate is the unemployment rate. Period. Trump is the lowest approval rating of any President elect. Get used to it because it's not going to get better. Gallup: Trump has low approval rating to begin presidency - Business Insider

We can start with knocking it the fuck off with Ukraine, because no one doesn't believe Russia isn't behind that. Then we can quickly follow up with Crimea. Anyone here believe Russia is going to give up Crimea?

It does seem that there are more than one report about Trump's ties to Russia, and it also seems the FBI / CIA was investing this long before it became public knowledge. Funny how the FBI didn't mention it.

Congress a few days ago was trying to pass a veto proof bills which would stop Trump from being about to end the sanctions and also make it illegal for him to recognize Russian ownership of Crimea. Trump literally is an enemy of our state, to the point a Republican controlled congress is going out of it's way to make sure he can't undermine the US. I'm not sure if they are still going to follow through with it or not. |

It's becoming crystal clear as to why Putin wanted Trump elected. The centerpiece of this whole fucked up situation is the half trillion dollar Exxon/Rofsnet deal which is parked until sanctions are lifted. Once compromised president dumbass and his oil baron secretary of State are installed, things can move forward and Putin can add to his coffers.

In this case, the public and the Democrats need to continue to push this issue, demanding we continue to look into Trump's Russian connection and demanding Trump release ALL of his tax returns to prove he doesn't have a connection. And just because there is an investigation that comes back with no wrong doing, we can continue to demand new investigations. Every time we find a new piece of information we'll be required to open up a new investigation and go over everything again. This is exactly what the Republican party did with Benghazi. Benghazi and Clinton's email stuff was insignificant compared to the possibility of our President being blackmailed by Russia.

If there is a equitable settlement of the areas of US and Russian disputes I would have no problem with Russian-US oil trade at fair world prices. Problem is; Smaller country's interests can not be traded off between Russian and US spheres of interest -- we cannot trade off other nations sovereignty toward some chess game advantage.
But all of this is far too complex for capitalists and oligarchs to negotiate -- this is not just about the money. A peaceful borders policy in Eastern Europe would be agreement to reach. Followed by the elimination of all short range missiles deployed on the borders would be a good-faith first step. We don't need some renegade Colonel starting WW3. Nobody wins in that scenario. Doing the oil deal with Russia would be rewarding Putin for interfering with our election. Everyone in congress knows this is what Putin wants we'll see if they have the strength to deny him that. Exxon's 63.4 million miles of drilling rights in Russia forbidden because of sanctions, billions lost last year. Exxon's Tillerson will be new Secretary of State and can lift the sanctions and give the company he's been at 41 years exactly what they want. Bush was big business and oil Republican president as well. Put the pieces together. |

I might even be willing to overlook Crimea really. It seems to me that the vast majority of people from Crimea supported this. The entire area is very "Russian" friendly. However, this is not the case with Ukraine.

Say what you want about Russia and what Russia has done in the pasty sixty years, but there is a good reason for this. Russia wanted a buffer between Europe and Russia itself. On the face of it this sounds rather silly until you factor in what Germany did during WWII. I know Russia was friendly with Germany at the time, etc, but their policy for the past sixty years has revolved around this buffer. I can see how the US placing more troops in Poland can be threatening. However, the United States and Russia going to war with each other will never happen. We already saw how much Russia suffered during WWII, and that was against a small country with limited resources. Imagine two countries the size of the US and Russia going head to head in a ground war in Europe that would quickly expand around the globe.

Over the last few years Putin has increased his military presence on all of his borders on such a threatening way that NATO called in our troops to make the bordering countries feel more secure. We've agreed to send in 40,000 troops, only 4k so far. From July 2016:
"Brexit has broken the European calm, President Vladimir Putin in Russia bolsters his forces on NATO's borders and the terror group ISIS hides in a tide of migrants washing up in Europe's cities. U.S. officials are billing the gathering as an historic inflection point in the alliance's worsening relationship with Russia. For the first time since the Berlin Wall came down a quarter century ago, the Russian bear seems restless. Two years ago, at the last NATO Summit in Wales, action was taken, agreements made: Create a Europe-based 13,000-strong Rapid Reaction Force to tackle any Russian incursion, put military hardware close to Russia's borders and begin heel-to-toe rotations of 40,000 troops." http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/08/europe...sis/index.html |

Bob Woodward calls Trump dossier ‘garbage’ | New York Post
Of course this opinion does not matter to OP, who when presented to the fact that dude's passport was not having certain stamps that would be there if he traveled to Prague, had a brilliant "contra argument" - "same way as you can not tell you traveled to Cuba" Unbelievable toolness. |

Two things....
First, it's very obvious there is a direct connect from Trump to Russia. Not just one connection, but dozens if not hundreds. If you need an example, explain to me why Michael Flynn, President-elect Donald Trump's choice for national security adviser, made five calls to the Russian ambassador on the very day President Obama put sanctions on Russia. If this isn't enough, think about this - his calls were against the law. It is illegal for Flynn, a private US citizen, to engage in diplomatic action on behalf of the United States. Second is the source. This is not something that was made up. Christopher Steele has no race in this horse - he is not American and thus not Democratic or Republican - and in fact worked on this report for both the Democrats and Republicans. He was hired to look into Trump's "Russian connections". He was hired because he has a lot of contacts in Russia. Then... If this was fake, why didn't they push this out information out five days before the election. Enough time to make Trump (Drumpf?) look bad but not enough time for anyone to discredit the report.
