Business What is the going selling rates for sites in a shrinking market?

Hi everyone and happy new year.
Long time no see.

I have spend 99% of my time the last 5 years on our mainstream project.

We are considering selling the remaining adult actives we have.
Main ones are adultreviews.com and pornreviews.com

Before I can valuate them I would like your help on what the going rates are currently.
Earlier it was common to get 18-24 times the gross monthly revenue for a TGP or MGP.
And more for review sites.

What are your view on what the seling price are for these types of sites:

Cam sites
Paysites (membership)
Reviewsites
TGPs
Tubes

Please fill in with those you have an idea about.

I have also been told that generic .com domains are worth less now that so many new TLDs has been given free.
Do you have an opnion on that?

Paysites are more in the 6 to 12 months of the checks you are getting, I would think that a review site would be in that same range since it's mostly promoting rev-share programs so would have the same ups and downs as a paysite.

The TGP & Tubes that I've seen sold in the last 12 months are more like 4 to 8 months revenue.

I don't see a lot of the newer TLD's bring big money on the auction sites, but I think that domains are a lot less than what they were 5 years ago, so if you had something you were holding onto, you may just want to keep holding on to it to see if prices come back up!

The two mentioned have great domains to assist with the sale but as far as rev alone is concerned your expectations may be high. I guess it depends on how you or they look at the deal at the end of the day.

You should probably get with someone over at rabbits, they took over tbp last year, they might be looking to buy up some more review sites

Yeah it has been a long time. And time flies fast.
Everything is good here. Both family and the new mainstream project we managed to make a success.
We are about to start the international expansion with it.

Probably your best end-user unless there's someone around that wants to take them on. If you want to see what the market bears why not put it to auction, market the sale and let it bring what it brings? I did that a few years back. I just set up a auction script on another domain and ran my own little auction with a modest start price and let the chips fall where they may. Closed the deal via escrow.com afterwards and saved thousands in brokerage/auction fees.

We have two review sites to sell.
I am courious to know the levels for the other types to be able to compare.

We have created a B2B event registration system.
The english brand will be EasySignup.

The concept has three important cornerstones:
- recurring revenue from business customers
- selfexposing, when custumors use the platform, they advertise for it
- scaleability, it can scale and we do not sell manpower hours

Our biggest competitor is Microsoft Excel which are an inefficient tool for administrating events.
It is going quite well in Denmark :-)

I'd say around 12 months net plus a little premium for the domains. Also depends on the revenue trends and traffic trends, anything reliant on google is pretty risky even more so then usual

Nope, the secretaries are using Excel and don't know they have a problem.

There is plenty of room in the market for both EventBrite and EasySignup.
We are aiming more B2B than them.
