I'm working on making my ebay/amazon business 100% mobile. Not mobile as in phones, but so I can do it from anywhere I choose.

Right now I sell a lot of clothing, electronics & some industrial items/tools. Working on converting everything to FBA products for Amazon and small items I can carry to sell on Ebay or local areas I happen to visit.

I still travel with my current set up, but I have to set up a base camp so to speak and rent a local warehouse for my inventory. I'm then limited to staying near that area. I want to move to no strings attached to a specific location other than my returns..

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Have you considered finding a manufacturer of XYZ product that has a minimal web presence instead of reselling smaller items that you purchase on your travels? You could then do everything that you just mentioned without having an inventory, be completely mobile.

Several years ago I had a deal with a manufacturer of a piece of niche exercise equipment. They had a marketing company working for them, but I was able to sell better than they were. I utilized Amazon, eBay, my own website, and a few other outlets.

I had no inventory. No physical responsibilities. I marketed my aspects and handled my sales but they took care of delivering the product, returns, warranties, etc. I did not make enough to live on selling that one product, but I only spent five hours a month working on it and it brought in anywhere between $1-2k profit monthly.

I don't think so, was a very niche market. I would have needed to multiply the time spent many times over.

The company in question canceled my deal to focus on marketing themselves. No idea if it panned out for them or not.

I'm usually very positive, but I will say I've had a pretty awful year so far. Fuck it, it's only just begun. I have all year to have great days and I will!

I plan to go away more. Take some English horse riding lessons, since I've only really ever ridden western. Maybe do a show or two with my daughter. She'd really like that, and I think I would too.

Business is good, I'll just keep doing what I do there.

How about you Sly? Whatchu gonna do?

I've alluded to the fact that I was sick for a while, it's hard for people that haven't experienced it personally to understand it. I got on lithium and it restarted my brain, or gave it enough time to heal (I think it jump started my chemistry a bit). As long as my brain doesn't get any significant physical trauma I think I'll be fine the rest of my life.

My illness made what should have been more of my carefree years not so enjoyable.

Hope you can take care of yourself for the foreseeable future.

It's very unlikely I'll go on any vacation for a long time. I just turned 32 a little over a week ago and realized the importance of kicking it into high gear now. Pretty much have the next 5 years mapped out.

I still come here to cause trouble though. It's a place to let my id out without being completely anonymous.

Keeping with Sly's spirit here, there is no reason you can't be kicking things in high gear while you travel as well if you plan it right.....right?

eg. meeting business contacts, closing deals in person, hitting a conference for prospects etc.
