    1. I never said I was "unwilling to see something odd".
I simply pointed out that Julian Assange himself has already stated that it wasn't the Russians who gave him the email dumps he put out that showed the HORRIBLE corruption of the Clinton Campaign and the DNC.

    2. It's a good thing that I don't value your opinion of my thoughts on this subject.
I'm gonna stick with my own life experience and intelligence and not your biased analysis of what I think and feel.

Trump and his butt buddies seem very desperately to WANT to deny what all of the intelligence agencies are saying. Do they think this might look a little fishy to every one else with common sense. You know...people who understand that Russia does this sort of thing like an ape scratches his ass.

What is going on here that's making Republicans trust Russia/Putin more than the CIA?

At what point in time has Julian Assange become an acceptable source of information?

Julian Assange is a wanted man who has been hiding in an embassy for years now only because he wants to avoid "possible" charges for a crime he "may have" committed.

And exactly what corruption did they expose? That the DNC did their job and had one of the questions in advance? OMG lock them up! What else - that they liked pizza?

There was exactly what I thought would be in that email dump. Jack fucking squat. Just a bunch of in-fighting, but mostly "nothing to see here".

Trump, on the other hand had an entire shit-storm of scandal all out in the open, but FOX news says Hillary is evil and that makes it so for half the country. You have to hand it to FOX and the Republicans....they really performed their due diligence for the last few years, and while their constant smearing of Clinton may not have cost her the election it probably tipped the scales. I'm not denying she's very responsible for the loss as well, but the general public opinion of Hilary Clinton is that she's capable, but a criminal. A criminal? How? They made old people believe that Hilary Clinton was running around the Benghazi complex with an AK47, and that the Clinton Foundation (which has helped millions of people) is a front for a criminal empire. Then there's the pizzagate thing which is just beyond stupid, and I feel sorry for the idiots who believed that. Actually, I don't feel sorry for them...I hope they die soon because they're not smart enough to be walking among the rest of us.

I look around sometimes and wonder "who are the fucking idiots in my general vicinity who put that clown show in the White House?"

            1. He is the guy who released the email dumps. He knows exactly where they came from.

            2. WikiLeaks has dumped over 10 million documents over the years and has a PERFECT record of being 100% correct every time. Nothing that they have ever released has ever been shown to be false.

            3. The DNC colluded with the Clinton Campaign to fuck Bernie Sanders out of the nomination. That the Clinton campaign paid people to start fights at Trump rallys. That John Podesta (Clinton Campaign Manager) colluded with reporters from CNN and had them over for private dinner partys as well as getting questions ahead of time AND telling CNN what questions to ask Trump to make Clinton look better.

So when the media was screaming that Trump's "rhetoric" was causing violence at his rallys...and then it turned out that the Clinton Campaign and the DNC were paying people to start those fights...that means nothing to you?

You don't see why that is so wrong and so fucked up for our election process?

Somebody could have gotten killed because of the shit that Clinton and the DNC did with that kind of thing.
Remember...the media was saying exactly that! "Somebody is going to get killed."

Of course they were blaming it all on Trump.
Once it came to light that it was Clinton's doing...they dropped that narrative immediately.

Again, this man is in hiding and refuses to come out and face potential charges for an unrelated crime. He is most obviously not an upstanding citizen that can be trusted.

Not to mention he hasn't told us who gave him the information or provided any proof.

No, they do not have a record of being 100% correct. In most cases, we cannot verify any of their information. I cannot verify any of it. Nor can you. We think it's legit, but we don't know. Even if it is legit, it's stolen. Crimes were committed in the act of getting that information.

So... Let me see if I understand this correctly.... The DNC intentionally picked Clinton over Sanders because they thought Clinton was the path to victory? Well, gee, oh my god, that is just horrible.

That's not a crime. That's not corruption. That's called common sense.

Corruption is when the President Of The United States is charging the Secret Service rent to provide him security.

Well, I was lookin' everywhere for them god-darned Reds
I got up in the mornin' 'n' looked under my bed
Looked in the sink, behind the door
Looked in the glove compartment of my car
                    Couldn't find 'em

I was lookin' high an' low for them Reds everywhere
I was lookin' in the sink an' underneath the chair
I looked way up my chimney hole
I even looked deep inside my toilet bowl
                    They got away

Well, I was sittin' home alone an' started to sweat
Figured they was in my T.V. set

The email scandal, Benghazi, and the hacked DNC emails amounted to a big fat huge zero. No crime committed - no crime at all.

The only thing that came out of the hacked emails was that the DNC wanted Clinton over Bernie. My sixteen year old could have told us that without thinking too hard. Clinton had a twenty year relationship with the DNC while Bernie wasn't even a Democrat until just recently. It should be PAINFULLY obvious that the DNC had WANTED Clinton as their nominee, and of course it's PAINFULLY obvious the Clinton Campaign worked that to it's advantage.

All of this.... The email scandal, Benghazi, and the hacked DNC emails.... Was nothing more than the Republicans using the US Government, it's resources, it's time, and it's money to conduct a massive smear campaign.

Again, I am not a huge fan of Hillary. I could care less.

Benghazi was pure bullshit. There was no crime, nothing done wrong, no hint of anything bad at all. This was a terrorist attack no one saw coming, no one could have prevented, and NOTHING we could have done would have changed the outcome of what happened. There was NO REASON to investigate this. Nine fucking times we investigated it. We investigated Benhazi more than 9/11.

The email scandal was more of the same bullshit. In very simple terms it is just not against the law for a US official to send classified information via email or a private server. It just isn't. It isn't illegal to transmit classified information via email, phone, fax, smoke signals, or a private courier with a classified information rammed up their ass. Email didn't even exist when these laws were written. This was nothing more than a witch hunt. That's all it was. They knew there would be no charges, but they were hoping to dig up more dirt - which, btw, they didn't.

Now we have the hacked emails. Frankly, our election was comprised by a third party. No matter how you look at it, these emails altered and changed the course of the election. The entire Homeland Security department is saying the Russians did it and told us EXACTLY who did it, while the President Elect, who benefited from this hacking, is telling us the people in charge of our intelligence agencies are "wrong". You know, the man who has never used a computer. Clearly he knows best.

Where does everyone think this is going to go? You think Trump will become President and the intelligence agencies will say "Oh, we were wrong, Trump showed us the light". LOL.

Robbie come on get your head out of your ass on this one.

Diseminating stolen government info for any reason is illegal, let alone using someone else's user/pass to gain access to their data, stealing it, and using it to try and hurt them.

This isn't about the election, it's about espionage, you need to separate the two and be analytical, stop attaching it to the emotion of the election.

Espionage (colloquially, spying) is the obtaining of information considered secret or confidential without the permission of the holder of the information. Espionage can be committed by an individual or a spy ring (a cooperating group of spies), in the service of a government or a company, or operating independently.

That's weird...because CNN and the rest of the media LOVED Julian Assange and WikiLeaks during the Bush administration. Especially their dumps on the Iraq War lies.

Make no mistake, I want the truth. What I don't want are elections that may end up manipulated by hackers.

Let's look at it like this.

Trump said outright he was not going to release his tax returns. Fair enough. There is no law that says he has to do this and he was willing to take the risk of catching shit for it.

Now, let's say a hacker got into Trump's computer then leaked online 10 years worth of Trump's taxes. In said taxes we find out that Trump isn't worth nearly as much as he says he is and using a series of loopholes and rules/laws he has been able to avoid paying any income tax over the last 10 years. He hasn't broken any laws, but that would look very bad.

So, say this information was released a few weeks before the election and it caused Trump to collapse in the polls and lose the election.

                              Are you cool with that?

1&2. Bullshit.. He has no fucking idea where the dumps came from, because that's wkileaks entire defense for deniability. The dumps are made anonymously that's how wiki leaks is set up. That's their entire claim to not have to give up sources "unless" that source openly admits it in public as in the Snowden case..

What he said is the Russian Govt didn't hand it over to him.. Quit falling for twisted half truths to fit specific agenda. He never said they didn't hack the DNC. He said the Russian govt didn't give him the dump.

Do you really think the Russian govt is going to hack the DNC then hand it over to someone from Putin's email address? Seriously use a bit of brain power and critical thinking..

3.. I agree 100% that the DNC & Hillary fucked Sanders.. Republicans did the same to Trump but doesn't make Trump a good guy, just because he was able to beat them at their game.

Snowden is a hero to democracy.. the people needed to know what was going on and he did attempt to alert his superiors and was stonewalled. He did what he had to do to get the info out there. He also had every reason to run and hide after what was done to Manning..

Assange & wikileaks is mixed for me. I believe the world needs a wikileaks, but Assange himself has damaged it's credibility. It's pretty clear Assange is playing politics with this Russian hacking leak info for example.

He hasn't acted as a information clearing house with no bias but rather is saying things like "Russia didn't give him the info" and trying to make it sound like Russia didn't hack.. Meanwhile he knows damn well the Russian govt would never hand it to him directly. He worded it on purpose to play politics..

Assange needs to remove him self from wikileaks if it's to ever be trusted again, because this isn't the 1st time he's done this. He's using wikileaks to keep his own ass out of jail..

See, this where I run into a conflict.

If someone hacked and released Trump's taxes right before the election.... I would love it. I mean I would have a hard on for weeks. However, if there was a criminal act involved I would want that person to go to jail. In fact, I believe it is illegal to post a federal tax return anywhere unless it is yours.

No matter how we look at this, someone was hacked, information was stolen, and this information was given out with the ONLY intention of altering an election. Period. Not only has a crime been committed, but it's obvious this was intentional to change the course of the election.

I hope Trump walks into the Oval Office on day one and says "Shut the fuck up bitches" to the intelligence agencies.... And then watch them dump take down Trump with leaks and hacked emails.

This is very, very upsetting for me. Jason Chaffetz was so concerned about a potential email security issue with Clinton's email but isn't even remotely concerned that Russia has improperly influenced our election. This is absolute proof that Congressman Chaffetz was less interested in securing classified information, and was only interested in political attacks.

The Republican party cannot just brush this off.

They LOVED the guy and the things he was doing when he exposed the Bush administrations lies.

But NOW that it's a Democrat getting the same treatment? All of a sudden he's a pariah.

the media is on the same track, trying to discredit trump and the election

Well, again twisted facts or plain lies :

The documents consisted of three pages from what appeared to be Mr. Trump?s 1995 tax returns. The pages were mailed last month to Susanne Craig, a reporter at The Times who has written about Mr. Trump?s finances. The documents were the first page of a New York State resident income tax return, the first page of a New Jersey nonresident tax return and the first page of a Connecticut nonresident tax return. Each page bore the names and Social Security numbers of Mr. Trump and Marla Maples, his wife at the time. Only the New Jersey form had what appeared to be their signatures.

The three documents arrived by mail at The Times with a postmark indicating they had been sent from New York City. The return address claimed the envelope had been sent from Trump Tower.

If someone came forward with the past ten years of Trump's taxes I would be thrilled to death. It would be amazing to see what his taxes are like. Can you imagine the drama that would bring up? But anyone who leaked it would still be breaking the law.

I think Hillary lost for multiple reasons. Most of which I've detailed in this post. Benghazi and the email scandal was a massive abuse of government resources and money by the Republican party - They used government offices to smear her in 11 different investigations, ALL of which ended up in no wrong doing and no charges.

I used to be a hardcore Republican until the Whitewater crap where Bill Clinton got impeached. Whitewater was nothing more than a witch hunt where the Republicans used government offices and resources to attack a sitting president. Again, no charges and no wrong doing in the investigation into Whitewater, but somehow they forced him to answer questions about his marriage under oath. This was a massive miscarriage of justice and an abuse of power.

I think what happened here was disgusting.

In the process, Mark Felt broke the law, was arrested, went to trial and was found guilty, and was later pardoned. This is understandable and acceptable - The laws he broke were minor compared to the crimes he exposed.

Snowden didn't expose any crimes. Yes, he exposed that our government was collecting meta data on phone calls but (correct me if I am wrong) this was never considered illegal, and no one has ever been charged with a crime. On the other hand, Snowden was the worst leak of classified information the United States intelligence agencies has ever had. Basically he told terrorists how we were trying to track them through Europe and the United States.

That doesn't mean that a Russian person didn't do it. Or that they weren't paid by the Russian spy agencies to do it.

It also is kinda hypocritical since our own spy agency's do the exact same thing every day of the week.

One of the things we found out from the Snowden leaks is that our intelligence agencies are allowed to act when doing surveillance and collecting data without a warrant if they feel it is something that must happen right now in order to be effective. They are supposed to then go get a warrant after the fact in order to prove they were acting within the law and in good faith. This has happened a lot, but with one little problem, in many of the cases they never bothered to then go to the court and get the warrant. That is against the law.

The judge didn't say it was illegal, nor did he issue any warrants or arrest anything. A single judge saying "something might be illegal" doesn't mean anything.... At all.

They are supposed to then go get a warrant after the fact in order to prove they were acting within the law and in good faith. This has happened a lot, but with one little problem, in many of the cases they never bothered to then go to the court and get the warrant. That is against the law.
And I disagree. You need a warrant to search someone's house, read their email (or email), or listen into their phone records. But no where is there a law that says they cannot keep metadata. In fact, all police departments keep metadata about us. Here in my home town the local police department has license plate scanners that scan your license plate, and they track this information.

Also, I do not believe law enforcement needs a warrant to collect data or even do surveillance. Usually they only need a warrant to search you, your car, your house, read your email / mail, or tap your phones.
