Philippines' Duterte: 'bye-bye America' and we don't need your money

MANILA (Reuters) - Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte told the United States on Saturday to prepare for repeal of an agreement on deployment of troops and equipment for exercises, declaring "bye-bye America", and we don't need your money.

But Duterte suggested relations could improve under a President Donald Trump. "I like your mouth, it's like mine, yes Mr. President. We are similar and people with the same feathers flock together."

So, The Donald's phone call didn't help much ...

Duerte would rather spend his time head-hunting in the jungles there ...

Since Subic Bay was closed ... Guess the US didn't feel the Philippines was much of a place to invest in -- happy head hunting ....

Philippines to 'set aside' South China Sea tribunal ruling to avoid imposing on Beijing

Philippines reopens Subic Bay as military base to cover South China Sea

Duterte is just like Trump, sold to the highest bidder.

Most Filipinos ***ADORE*** anything and everything that has to do with the USA. I have traveled there many times and they always treated me like a king. They have a wonderful culture and should not be judged based on that idiot Duterte.

Wonderful culture and very ethnocentric and sea levels are swallowing their islands. 10-20 years they'll be an immigrant slave population in China thanks to Duterte .
