The Japanese had their ass kicked all the way back to their homeland by US forces. Because it was estimated that the US could take up to 1,000,000 casualties to invade the homeland and could take several times that number of Japanese casualties and for other reasons as well President Truman decided to use the Atom Bomb, not once but twice to demonstate that we had more than the one bomb. This brought the Japanese to agree to an unconditional surrender.

The Korean conflict was not a war but was a political conflict and its goal was to hold the 38th parallel which separated the North and South Korea and this political goal was accomplished.

The Vietnam conflict was not a war but was a political conflict and the political goal was to hold South Vietnam which was done but at the cost of the American people taking to the streets by the millions demanding the withdrawal of our military forces from the conflict. The politicians completed the withdrawal of our forces in 1973. In 1975 the South Vietnamese forces fell to the North Vietnamese forces. The loss of the political goal being reached in Vietnam was a political loss for our politicians and a loss by the South Vietnamese military forces not a loss by US military forces.

That is what the world knows and that is what Americans know. Not the ignorant ass conclusions your uneducated peasant ass has made.

              did not see this....

at the time you nuked japan twice, they were war torn and crippled and not a threat to anybody really...its like arguing that a guy lying on the floor with 2 broken legs is a threat and that he needs a bullet in the head...what basically happened is that stalin waltzed in to berlin and took all the glory...stalin was the most powerful man in the world back then and the USA had an image problem...it had been a side spectator in ww2 mostly doing some light pacific fighting and loosing as much men as tiny shit hole yugolsavia...stalin was going to march in to japan and the USA was going to seem marginal...so the USA decided to make the jap emperor "say my name" by nuking fishermen...keep in mind the jap fleet and air force were history...they had nothing to attack you with and you were in no danger from them whatsoever...

you went in to the korean war or "political conflict" if it makes you feel better, to beat the commies...there was no 38th parallel plan, you went in to win, you did not win...at best korea was a tie, but then again fighting somebody a fraction of your size that has outdated weapons and resulting in a stale mate, is a huge victory for the little guy...

as for vietnam I don't know how to break it to you but 20 years of fighting resulted in you guys not winning...and then you went home...if your goal was to delay communism for 20 years in a tiny farmer country then sure you "won"...but if your goal was to stop communism then I have some bad news for you

The goal in the Korean conflict was to drive North Korea forces out of South Korea which is what was accomplished. The North was not only pushed out of South Korea but General MacArthur took it upon himself to push all the way through North Korea to the Chinese border and actually wanted to engage the Chinese which is what happened. He provoked the Chinese with words and air power sent into the Chinese skies. He decided that he was Commander in Chief instead of President Truman. He was relieved of his command and General Ridgeway was placed in charge of the Korean conflict with the orders to hold the 38th Parallel which we did until the Koreans and Chinese agreed to a truce. And the 38th Parallel is still held to this very day. So the political goal was met and still stands to this day.

                    Seriously?

Japan was chased all across the South Pacific ocean and had lost every base they had. The United States had even attacked and occupied Okinawa. Japan was utterly defeated yet refused to surrender. The US - who more or less single handily beat Japan - was preparing to invade the Japanese mainland. This would have been the largest amphibious assault in history, twice as large as the Normandy invasion.
