I want Lewis to win but I fear that DNF in Malaysia ended his slim hopes - even at that time - of retaining his Championship. Pretty shitty season for him even tho he has broken many records on his way. The guy never let his head drop once, he kept coming out saying he will keep at it, he will try to improve and stay strong but his team let him down. You can look back to 7-8 races that if a small thing went his way, he'd have locked up the title weeks ago.
Nico Rosberg will likely be the luckiest Champion in recent history and IMO the most boring. He knows he is second best to his team mate, he knows he is by far in the best car on the grid and expected to be at least 2nd. It's worked out for him due to the mechanical failures his team mate endured and in the end, he is going to be World Champion because of it.
My hope is he finally gets a mechanical issue, it's long overdue, and Lewis just sails off into the lead to wrap up the title. I doubt it will happen, he will be 2016 Champion and Lewis will be left pissed at his team.
Sour grapes from me? Yes! Been a Lewis Hamilton fan since he raced in GP2, the guy is a natural born winner, Champion and is fearless. He is by far the fastest guy on the grid and one of the best F1 Drivers of all time. -

Yeah can't help but feel the title has been handed to Nico. Hamilton would be clear going into this weekend if it wasn't for that DNF.

Young Verstappen has definitely added some excitement to F1 this year!
It's also good to see the TV director focusing on battles for lower positions, rather than just showing Hamilton driving around for 90 minutes. I got really bored of F1 about 15 years ago when Schumacher was almost always leading.Comment

Not too keen on the "strategy" of Hamilton driving slowly to let those trailing Rosberg catch up and potentially cause problems for him as they tried to pass. That's a bit unsportsmanlike IMHO. I LOL'd when Hamilton did his childish dummy spit on the radio, "well I'm not gonna be the world champion this year, so I don't care about this race"

The alternative was to drive off into the sunset and let Nico have it all his way... I know what I would have done. It's easy to post on a forum about his decision but the guy is triple world champion, he didn't get there by being a pussy. He threw a spanner in the works to see how Nico would deal with it, he dealt with it well so congrats to him for that.Congrats to Rosberg!

Driving that slowly takes an amazing amount of skill to do, he had to slow him down in the corners then get far enough ahead of him before the DRS detection point so as not to let him get DRS.
I'm already excited for 2017, tons of new regulations, wider tyres, less degradation, re-fuelling coming back... it's gonna be much more like the old F1 era where drivers choose a private strategy with their engineers and in the end, the best combination of skill and strategy will win.Comment

I would respect Lewis more if he wouldn't behave like an idiot - he clearly shows no sign of respect for his team and his team mate - it's only just about him. Always.
And he's clearly a fantastic driver and I am not really a big fan of Rosberg.

When you have a bunch of alpha males who are trained and wired to be the best of the best you're bound to run across a few assholes. It's their job to drive fast, not be the nicest guys in the world.
It's always interesting to see the body language when both Hamilton and Rosberg are in the same room post-race...
For me, Hamilton's douche level went up several notches when he got out of his car at Monaco, and Justin Bieber was waiting there to give him bro cuddles.
