It has little to do with how much you eat.
In my early 40s I was living well, had a desk job, didn't have much physical activity, and then I quit smoking. My weight quickly went through the roof - I put on eighty pounds in one year. Once the weight is there it's difficult to get rid of.

I asked four women the question. Best response? "We deal with men who are all assholes so we eat and watch TV rather than date assholes." I disagree. All men aren't assholes but with her attitude ... I lost 100 lbs but I never ate too much. I ate lots of carbs, genetics played a part, my relatives were mostly heavy. I walked a lot but it gave me massive muscular legs and calves. I played sports, too. Never ate fast food, didn't snack, and diet soda was all I drank since age 14 (dad became diabetic).
All women are not fat nor are men. Today more people are overweight as fast food is the norm, sitting at the computer and eating is the norm, and big size clothing is more fashionable.
I had a male friend who was about 60 lbs overweight. He worked physically hard but drank four six-picks of beer a night, ordered large subs for lunch and dinner, and drank Dunkin Donuts coffee with four sugars and two donuts several times a day. He couldn't understand why he was fat since he worked so hard.
He did some work around the house for my parents. He drove an hour to their house but wouldn't take money. Mom invited him for dinner and made two corned beef briskests plus all the veggies. She figured one she would slice and freeze and serve the other with leftovers for my dad during the week. My friend ate the entire 3 lb brisket with veggies so mom had to cut into the other brisket. She had never seen a human eat that much meat at one time. He went to my house after and had a huge dish of ice cream. Fortunately he didn't stay over. The toilet would have needed plunging after he used it!*****************************************

I'mm 66, very inactive and eat three meals a day, with a few fruit snacks. Yet only weigh 80 kilos. The secret is the size of the meals and snacks.
Get out of the house and walk to the mall, better still jog, get a dog and walk him till he's had enough. And CUT DOWN on the size of meals and stop eating out of a can or packet. It's all packed with stuff you shouldn't put in your body.Comment
