Well, in the end I got my payment and my account has been terminated now.
I think I will mail them and ask what will happen with a bunch of sign-ups I have that were set on revshare. :)
I mean I still don't understand why they terminated my account, lol.

They could have solve this issue so easily, just by finishing up their "investigation"( should not take 3 weeks), realize there is no fraud or spam involved, pay me and set me on revshare.

wehateporn 11-21-2016 06:58 AM

Glad that they paid

Hi MKA,

Thank you for sharing your experience on GFY and it just proves that both affiliates and affiliate managers should mind their language.
With all respect to you BongaCash has no wish to have a partnership with the affiliates who publicly call us out before actually getting any resolution. Needless to copy paste what you had typed about us and about the frozen account without payment though it was the payment temporarily frozen according to the Terms.

Taking into account the traffic sources you had mentioned there was a decision made to wait a bit until there was any activity with the traffic you sent to us instead of just recalculating your payment on RevShare that would be zero with that quality traffic. Anyway, you just got your balance unfrozen and the partnership terminated. I hope everything is clear now.
We are very thankful that you gave a shot to our affiliate program and we wish you a better experience with another one.

The same thing happened to me with another program a few weeks ago...the program is offering PPS, but only if they make more cash then you do... so, if you go with revshare, everyone is happy, but if you chose to go with PPS, and the members only stay for a month, and never rebill, they have the right not to pay you at all... I asked them if they are willing to prove that the users never rebilled and/or if they are willing to pay me more if the users actually pay more then the PPS itself? The math is really simple.. if they make more then the pps, everything is good, if not, they have the right not to pay you... I always thought that PPS itself is a risk from the sponsor, but because they know that the users will rebill, it's worth it... the conclusion, it's a bait to get more affiliates... :(

(This is not directed at BongaCash or any specific Program.)

What you outlined is basically why I have never offered PPS. Yes, the math IS simple - and it's not good. Especially if we are talking PPS offers that are higher than the actual join price. You know, $50 PPS for a $29.95 Membership.

For the Program (the honest ones, not the shady ones with questionable revenue streams), the only way a PPS works is if the customer rebills or you cross-sell them on the initial join. There may be other reasons to offer limited PPS offers - like jump starting a Program, reinvigorating a stale one, Holiday sales, etc. But if a Program consistently offers PPS then the financial pressure to make that offer profitable - for the PROGRAM - is enormous.

My solution? As a CCBill Program I offer a yearly $99.95 membership with a 50/50 revshare. So while it is 'revshare' the join is a one-time only. So in effect the affiliate is getting a PPS-type deal when they promote that option. $50 a pop in the affiliate's pocket, from CCBill, and no worries about hitting minimums (mine is set at $20) and not getting paid. :)

exactly.. it's a risk, but if you are offering it, take the risk...advertising PPS then referring to some sub points in the tos is simply lame in my opinion, however, since we all accept the tos when signing up, programs have their rights to do anything... anyways, I prefer revshare, especially on cams..

Secondly, when you signed up on BongaCash you agreed with the Terms. In the Terms it is written in black and white:
6.6. Affiliate accounts with extremely low traffic quality may find their pending payouts temporarily frozen bla bla bla.

All affiliate should worry about is generating traffic and sending sales to a program. It's your responsibility to convert surfers and have a good enough member's area that members rebill.
It's not affiliates fault that you have a shit members area and surfers decide not to convert from trial to full.

Exactly. It's their own fault that they can't keep a surfer interested in their shit website.

Did you make the threats or not? - It's not a hard question to answer...

No need to keep asking the same question, it's obvious from her response that they did tell him what would happen should he speak negatively about them on the boards. It's not really a threat, just a bs way of trying to hold control the affiliate to not bad mouth the program.

glad you got paid.

so how much $$ are we talking about here ?

Aleksandra BongaCash 11-22-2016 04:08 AM

Hi EddyTheDog,

We never make any threats to our affiliates. The words were taken from the context. MKA had written false information that we asked to remove. That's it.

Affiliate program is not a supermarket. It involves partnership. If the affiliate program considers that the affiliate and his traffic does not meet the Terms, we will not continue the partnership with such an affiliate any longer.

Translation: if affiliate is making money and we can't steal his traffic source, we will threaten him and close his account.

Lol, that guy had to be the most stubborn program owner of all time. No matter what tips were given to him, he was dead set on doing things his way, even if it meant running off every last active affiliate. I forget his sites, please tell me they are dead.
