Felted 3 players on my FIRST hand at poker tonight

I buy in for $250 at 1-2 no limit hold 'em

I get one jack then the dealer gives me a second card and it's a 4 as she accidentally turns it over. It gets burned and my next card is another jack! This is my first hand.

Everyone is limping and then comes over to me at the cutoff and I pop it $15...I get a call, call and call, let's see a flop. Flop comes 10 10 Jack Bet of like $30, call, call and then I pop it to $75...I get a call, call and call wtf?

The turn is an 8 of diamonds and that makes it two diamonds on the board with 10, 10 and jack. I know someone obviously has to have a 10 maybe ace 10, maybe a couple of draws. Bet of $50, call and call and I pop it all in with call, call, call... a brick on the river and Johnny clips ends up with a cool $1,000

No it's not you dumbass...it's called a "burn" card and then they deal the rest of the cards and give you your second one. They show the whole table the burn card and into the muck it goes you twit!

if any cards are known before the hand it effects how others play the hand.

Have you never played hold 'em before? How much money do you want to bet on this seriously? It was PRE FLOP

I was at the cutoff, meaning I was the 2nd to last person to be dealt....I ended up getting my first card and it was a jack...the dealer tossed me my second card, a 4 and it was turned over, so it was the burn card. She then dealt a card to the button and then back to me and showed the burn card to the whole table. I've seen this a thousand a times...are you seriously mentally ill or just a total cuck?

i've spent more hours on tables than i care to admit and ANY TIME a card is exposed the dealer right away calls a misdeal. i'm not going to spend my time arguing over something so stupid. there are more holes in your story that i can expose but the fact is it would never have gotten that far to begin with.

Ps: I have no steak, but as for small blind exception - maybe because that means no other cards has been dealt so it is easy to cancel the whole dealing and start from scratch, while if some cards are already correctly dealt it is not so "cool" to take back those cards and maybe anger the players who were happy with what they already been dealt.

I've seen it handled both ways, depends on the casino. Generally though, if its not exposed in the first 2 cards played, the hand continues and often the exposed card then becomes the burn card before the flop.

This from the WSOP rules:

"Exposed cards are dealt with on a situational basis, as stated in the rules of the specific variation of poker. When a card is exposed by the fault of the dealer, the rules of the game apply, and the player does not get a say in keeping or rejecting the card. Any card shown to one or more other players by the dealer is considered an exposed card, as is any card that is dealt off the table. However, if a card is unintentionally exposed by the player, they must still be played."


As for the rest of his hand account, I find no irregularities with it.

Yea exactly and this is a cash game not a tournament tho...it's happened several times to me...one time I got an ace and then the dealer dealt another ace face up to me and i was pissed it was the burn card. I then got a low suited card and ended up felting 2 players with the nut flush

yeah, come to think of it you are right, for casino play anyway. I was skeptical myself at first but that is from playing in underground games etc.. normally they just use it as a burn or something just to save time, but it definitely can be used as an advantage for people who are paying attention though, no doubt.
