Forward with referrer?
Anyone know how I can auto-forward a surfer and have the forwarding domain as the "referrer" url?
i want it so user clicks on a link on site A, it goes to site B which forwards him to site C. However, when it gets to site C, the referrer is listed as site B. All I can get it to list as A or "unknown". I have a script where I track by referrer, and it's all coming up wrong. I have tried meta-refresh and php include and header functions. |

*Sigh*
I don't trade traffic, I don't even have any TGP/CJ sites anymore. I want the traffic to show the TRUE referrer, not the referrer 2 sites ago. Please remember you can damage someone's rep just by throwing around CHEATER accusations. |

You can't do what you want to do. If you are straight forwarding surfers, the referer is going to show up as the last page they actually clicked a link on.

It can be done, with js. And that's all I'm gonna say about it, since it gives some great almost undetectable cheating possibilities in combination with country filtering.

Ok guys, thanks. I wasn't aware this would be a touchy subject. My reason for it is that I have a script that tracks my hits from expired domains to sponsors or FPA's and whatnot. I have to look at the individual domain logs to see the traffic, and thought it'd be nice to have it all done in the script.

log the referrer in a session as long as the browser doesnt close and you maintain the session thru the pages you should be able to keep track of it
