Policing a board sucks.

If I ran a board like this, I'd do it this way:

1. allow individual members to place other members on "ignore". (you have that already)
2. Make the "ignore" feature prominent on the site, so people will us it.
3. New accounts are default configured to ignore the "top 10 ignored members." (might want to tweek that a bit, like maybe "top 10 ignored this month" so old data rolls off and long time members are not penalized for length of membership.)

New account defaults are powerful. Sure, members can go into the prefs and change it, but few do.

Posters will behave themselves because they don't want to make that top ten list, and Lens gets to masturbate more often.

Ah, but there is a flaw. Competitors will gang up on some to get them banned. Mmmm. Sometimes there's no substitute for doing it yourself.

Banning people is fine I just don't agree with Locking threads freedom of speech all the way IMO
