Have you ever tried Shabu Shabu?

I only recently had it for the first time.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shabu-shabu

It's like Japanese soup fondue. Very social meal and delicious.

I've only been to all those popular ramen shops that are open (and continue opening) around Toronto. Shabu Shabu hasn't taken off here yet as far as i know

That's it. I really liked it. I know of only one place in Montreal (so far) that offers it.

I have it all the time here.
I'm told it is chinese....hot pot.
                    Just renamed.
I really like it, it is always buffet style here so you just keep adding more soup and more ingredients.

Shabu Shabu is great. I like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakiniku better.

Both are delicious. We bought a grill for the house recently. Well worth the small investment to eat better quality meats.

This is different. Hotpot is something else called nabe. Equally delicious though. Winter months coming and I have my little gas stove all ready for nabe. Hakusai and pork will get you right.
