    affiliates should get rid of trials.

    most people cancel after the trial is over... affiliate programs need to change the way they charge surfers now... and most people do not rebill anymore. We are all here to make money, so we need to think outside the box.

          They offer trial plan to grab user's information, not to make money with it.
          Potential future customer is in their hands with $1 or $2.
          Pretty smart way I guess.

                      True, that is why we can afford to pay the affiliates €30-42 per trial. Our sites rebill very well too so it's a good combo.

                              That's why affiliate programs offer PPS so you don't have to worry about that.

                              For an affiliate program it makes sense to have the trials.

                              let's say you have a $1 trial that recurs at $39.95 and a month membership is $27.95
                              now say you have 10,000 visitors:

                              with $1 trial convert 1:500 and 75% of the people cancel = $219.75
                              without $1 trial, convert 1:2000 = $139.75

                              + you have more member data for future mailings, members area upsells, etc.
