HDMI vs Thunderbolt to HDMI converter

    Hi!

Is there any real difference in visual using HDMI only vs Thunderbolt to HDMI converter?
I dont need any audio to be transmitted, its only about visual.

I'm concerned macbook air 13 does NOT have HDMI, hence . . .

    Any experience?

      Mac & HDMI

Whatever cable I've used the quality seems the same. I have had trouble using HDMI/HDMI on external monitors to my Mini. A Google search said it was a glitch in OS X. So I use the monitor's VGA cable and a VGA/Thunderbolt adapter.
Works and the video quality and performance is 100%

Had the problem with 2 different monitors from 2 different companies.
