eos 10d vs d60

looking to upgrade from the d30. i was wondering if anyone had any comments for these cameras as they are pretty much the same price(within 100 bucks) and they are both 6.3.

thanks in advance -brian

www.dpreview.com is the only place i go to for info on digicams

the d60 was discontinued a little while ago...there were some complaints about low light focusing probs.

I was under the impression the 10D was basically the replacement for the D60. Here's a great comparison:

What they said. The 10D is a great step up from the D60. Basically just a refinement of that camera. There's no longer any reason to get the D60, as the 10D seems to be available for less.

We have them all, the 10D is the one to buy. But if you get a sweet deal on the D60 ( < $1200 ) go for it.

I snagged a 10d of the shelves as soon as they were available. Damn I have never taken that good pictures in my whole life. I got a Canon Speedlight 550ex Flash with it. I love the combination.

I have been drooling over the following combination...

Canon 10D (uk accessories)
Canon 28-135mm EF lens with optical stabilizer
1 GB compactflash card
$2900 altogether (may find it cheaper still)

That's why I am pimping my content so heavily. Why isn't anyone taking advantage of my desperation?

Sometimes I hate living here. If I don't mind having it shipped by a friend back in the US, and having the wrong accessories, I can get the same thing for $2200.

Yep......... I just picked it up a few hours ago. I will take a few pics and show you the difference. I have the D 60 also but I am gadget freak and I always want is new.

I maybe able to get a few more Canon 10D's for those of you that are having a hard time finding one !

How much of a difference do you see between them? When I was checking out reviews, I wasn't sure the higher price of the 1Ds was justified, given the quality of the D60 and now the 10D...
