    Business Cost Of Business, Shooting Question

    Hello everyone , my main question is to anyone who has experience in shooting porn, when you are looking to hire talent for a shoot from say backpage,sexyjobs, etc how do you approach them about work? When it comes to money are you offering a certain amount? Do you ask them their rates(feel like this is where you could get ripped off a bit)?

    Are there somewhat "going rates" in the industry? Honestly was thinking about going the fetish route and choosing a niche, but that's where I get stuck, Do you approach them and say hey I'll give you $*, **, ***, ****, etc to stomp on a cake for a foot fetish venue .

    I would be starting off with lower end or more amateur models. Not looking to shoot a lexi belle right off :P

    And I do have experience, I'm currently a film major in college and about to graduate and I was thinking about working in the business (behind the scenes) as cameraman, editor, etc. I also have made a lot of friends who would be willing to work cheap. Especially because I already have camera, lighting, sound, editing software, etc

          Opps yeah that actually is very important , California More specifically San Fernando Valley. (yeah I know i'm about about a decade off the boom :P)

              After the OSHA and the various ballot propositions ( you can check them better then me) the porn industry in California is way too expensive to even think about to start from the ground. My next question would be what type of content you plan to produce, but it is almost immaterial, because one of the propositions (likely to pass) is that even if you fornicated with your wife and then tried to sell the video and unless you wore a condom you can go to jail.

              Waste of time and money to shoot anywhere in the USA.. In my opinion if you want run of the mill " suck and fuck" content it will be a lot cheaper to make an exclusive deal with one of the content suppliers from GFY. Or if you want something special you must supervise ( or even shoot ) by yourself. Shoot in in Hungary or the Czech republic, no hassles and a lot cheaper.

                  The only thing I'm really curious in is

                      I would NOT bother with craig's list and similar lost leaders. Find a reputable adult casting agency, or if you want somebody specific check their social media, join and approach that way...Since you are in California there are a dozen at least, but do not ask me which ones I am in Europe I do not use any of them.

                      But as a new comer, learn how to spell "pay or play".

                      I am not sure how current are these rates by the US based talent charges per scene... ( have no clue why since I pay by the day) but for unkown "starlet" you be looking at least $ 200/ scene and up from there... If you want her to take it up "hershey highway" double it... But a $ 1000 per full day ++ is probably close to reality since most will NOT extinguish their bong for 200 bucks.

                          Thanks for the info, hopefully someone from the states can chim in with some more information. Curious even for Europe is it you offer the amount, they offer the amount?

                          Btw like I said I would most likely be going the niche route and a good chance no actual sex with actually occur

                              Hopefully you get your answers... FYI: We do lesbian niche and pay from $ 200 for soft glamour to about $ 400/day for the "full meal deal"regardless as to how many "scenes". We shoot in Prague.

                                  Thank you, curious with these $200 or $400/day how did you come to these numbers originally? Did you approach the girls and offer that amount, going rate in Prague etc?

                                      We are doing it here for almost 10 years. We have a few agencies we work with and have our own database now. We never went the: "hey girl you wanna be famous" route or " do you want to go to America"... The reply would have been " fuck off creep"... Today this would not even work in Moldava...

                                      Work the proper way, but if you only want to get laid... prague K 5 club would be safer, better and cheaper then trying to pretend you want to start a porn business

                                          Thanks again for the info, no I'm snot just trying to get laid would just got to a bar or club :P I guess I will prob start off by calling some agents, thinking of starting off small anyways with fetish content that would be solo anyways. No hardcore
