Brits: Get ready for a hike in prices +10% on Everything.

So over the last few days Tesco has been in the news arguing with Unilever about their decision to hike up prices blaming brexit and the pound.
Tesco are dragging their heels but it's only a matter of time before they give in which will mean higher prices at the tills and all the other supermarkets will follow.

Personally, our supplier has just sent us a letter stating that from the start of next month they will be putting prices up by 10%.

This was inevitable. But worth is to dismantle the EU.

The EU is failing, the coming two years of elections will show by how much. We do not need to be ruled from the center to strike a good trade deal. The EU knows this and is playing tough in hope that the UK will go easy on them. Because a Hard Brexit means losses of jobs in Europe and millions having to go home and be unemployed.

Not the skilled and high earners. Just the low skilled, low paid and those living on benefits. The Brits in Europe living on that countries benefits system isn't worth a damn.

Freedom of movement is fine. Just not Freedom to the taxpayer's wallet.

People who fall for the "sky is falling" bullshit are idiots. So pit up your shitty prices. I'm still for doing what's right for future generations.

        Fuck the EU.

        And Tesco

The story in the news was all about Marmite, and the fact that it is produced in the UK from UK-sourced ingredients. Were Unilever just trying to use Brexit as an excuse for profiteering?

@ Smackdat, well it was inevitable with the pound going down! Prices need to go up as the UK imports so much from...

                the EU.

It's way more than that - It's over 200 of the most popular products in the UK - It's more about the international nature of Unilever and the effect the falling pound has on it's profits...

The Marmite angle is just a very British joke at our own expense.....

I realise that but the press stories centred around Marmite mainly. The thing is though, supermarkets have these pricing disputes with suppliers all the time so why was this in the news? Of course the free publicity won't have harmed Tesco or Unilever's brands....

No, most who voted out thought the UK could chuck out the immigrants

And others were lied to by Farage, they thought the NHS was going to be given millions a month, instead, the NHS is having less. If there was another referendum, the country would vote different. Only half of the country has brains, the rest are idiots & some on benefits, those voted to leave

we have Aldi & Lidl near us here in Spain, we use it regular. The prices won't be effected here because it's inside the EU
